QUICK PSA: It's possible your Atlas Path last objective was reset. Check if you don't have to craft Heart of the Sun again. Despite me finishing that YEARS ago (save from 2017), I just got it again for some reason. In the end, it wasn't the Autophage objective preventing me from starting the new questline. I would also double check all main questlines too just in case.

This worked for me. More than 1000 hours in. Recrafted Heart of the Sun, presented it at an Atlas Station. Warped and the new popup appeared.

I figured it out. I didn't realize I didn't do the Atlas mission since it's reboot thing. So I just had to redo that quest line and it worked after

Don't pulse. Just fly around inside a system with super speed (like you're going between planets). It will tell you to jump out of super speed.

You can set Current Mission on the galaxy but I'm not sure it will work or not, I've been jumping systems for the last two days and my target system is nowhere to be seen.

I tried to "Set Waypoint" when the purple star was revealed, but the game would not let me (kept giving me a dull 'cant do that" like tone). Had to exit galaxy map to further mission and now cannot find the purple star again. Setting the mission as active and using the "Current Mission" path also does not seem to work. I followed it for over an hour, and it just seems to be taking me to the core instead. It does this no matter what Galaxy I am in btw. It never tells me "Target in another galaxy" if I created it in Euclid, but then warped to Eissentem. Lastly, there is no current option to restart or abandon mission. Hopefully this gets fixed, because I am not the only one and it has blocked us from a huge part of the update.

I went back to Atlas interface and created/recreated a star which has a Gas Giant (Titan) with Storms in an Uncharted space. I also built my new Atlantid drive and started my journey to the new star but I've been following the green mission route and jumping systems since this morning and it's probably been 20.000 light-years and still counting. Can this be a bug or uncharted territories are really that far away? Help is appreciated.

i just finished the autophage missions, and it still does nothing i got a sentinel ship the staff, echo locator etc nothing happens i think its broke on xbox there was like a 5gb update ealier to day no idea what that did.

it does seem odd to lock it behind main quest lines that most might not have completed due to the nature of the game, 8 years on and i'm not completed on ATLAS, i don't necessarily want to right now but now i'm forced to in order to unlock the purple star systems? seems an odd choice!

It makes sense if you look at it from a progression and depth point of view. It's very easy to bee-line most things in this game which makes it seem "shallow". Adding a few gates gives a sense if progression and depth. These planets are a lot better looking that most the normal planets. If players could jump straight to purple they would ignore most the rest of the systems.

my problem with this update is just how time locked it is... there's not a way currently to start a new save and explore these systems without being overgeared/overpowered for them. New players who decide to pick this game up because of the updated water worlds will be severely dissappointed to find that they must play through 10+ hours of boring marker chasing just to have the honor of exploring them.

@scottrogers9723 im from hawaii and done alot of free diving and i didnt realize alot of people are scared of deep water, ive swam over deep black blue ocean and only thing I was worried about was no fish, until me and the boys found a 17ft tiger shark while out in about 30ft of water, that wasn't fun....I may have developed a small amount of this as o haven't dived in like 7 years now as I live on the mainland now

@Negativity808 mainly it's the unknown that gets me lol. I've swam in swamps with gators, and been in shark cage and yet n9t knowing an environment is what puts me on edge. There's a lake in Idaho that's over 1000 ft deep that I can swim in no issue because i know 90% of what lives in it. If i know what can appear it ain't so bad but that transition into the pitch black knowing they added a ton of new creatures you never know what's gonna be hostile lol.

I cant get autophage questline, im stuck on trace of metal quest, i got the hacked brain, but when i pulse and the altas thing appears, i can talk to it, i give it the brain, but then the quest just locks up and im stuck in my cockpit, so cant get radiant brain etc , and quest is stuck, i have to alt f4 out cant get any menus to appear or anything. anyone know how to fix ? thanks

@@robertrossiter346 I had this problem, but the quest started without me finishing Trace of Metal. Are you sure you have Atlas Path and the Artemis quest done? Also, it gets kinda janky if you don't start the new thing in Euclid. So make sure you're in Euclid for all that

The construct robot in the space anomaly has been removed, you needed the construct to pop the mission to get the drive, so everyone who started the game after they removed the construct, you cant get the drive

game is bugged for some of us. and we do not actually get to create a new system or anything it get's stuck on the part where you have to connect the memory fragment and refuses to progress. some say they get it for being in another galaxy and quest resumes upon returning to euclid but otherwise it's broken if already in euclid.

Okay, new planets that are really well made and are very pretty ... And then what? There's still nothing really to do in NMS. It's exploration and base building and thats it. No ship interiors/no cities/no gear etc etc and if you do want new gear or ships you need to do the extremely boring and tedious expeditions that are also time limited. I appreciate the hard work from the devs but other games have been attacked/criticized for WAY less.

i think this game maybe just isn't for you, when this game was just exploration it was still an amazing experience, then everyone who actually wanted destiny or elite dangerous or star citizen started complaining and they worked their ass off to make all these additions and you think they deserve criticism for that? what developer do you know outside incomplete games that spends 8+ years improving their game for player base especially AAA titles, none. They rob you blind and then disappear, sorry but you're on another planet if you think they deserve any hate for this game.
