Sorry for the static in the video, also if you wonder why my 83/200 transducer shows structure faster it's because it's glassed in the hull. I went over some areas that I would fish offshore. When you say offshore it could be anything from creek channels to man made brush piles. The key is finding them. Topo maps with contour lines come in handy greatly when finding offshore structure. In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzbin.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Thanks for the video - We'll be using the HDS gen 3 here in a few weeks when our boat arrives. It will definitely be the fanciest depth finder we've ever had! Appreciate the information. We had walleyes puking up a tremendous amount of smelt last week... first time I'd ever seen that... big suckers too! 4-5" smelt and there were 3-4+ they coughed up!

Very informative. I'm new to the game of down scan and GPS, having just purchased a Hook 5. It's nice to know what to look for on the screen. The frequency setting to 800 KHZ for the Down Scan, was a great thing to know. Keep up the good work

I'm still lost. I got two HDS9 Gen2 Touch on my boat. Both networked and connected to neama with a Point One, LSS2 and reg Sonar. Can't get it to set to where I see fish like yours. What settings I need to set or what's your settings as far as sonar etc.

I was showing my neighbor the picture quality of my HDS9 Gen 3. I was on the Pages screen when I accidentally hit Edit then deleted my page that had the Sonar, and Structure scan on it. How do I get that back? I subscribed because your videos are very informative. I live in Paris, Tx and really need the structure scan back for effective fishing on Lake Fork.

+Scott Branch on the main menu you should be able to edit your pages. At that point you can add the structure scan and what ever other you would like.
