The Dimes and Quarters in the Silver proof sets are also 90% Silver from 1992-2018. In 2019, the Silver proof sets switched to .900 to .999. I ounce found a 1916 D Merc in a roll of Dimes. Best find yet. But also, I would check the dates as well. Yes, it takes longer, but it's a lot more through, and you reduce your chances of missing Silver.

I visited the USA in 2017 and didn't look through the change I brought home until today. Found one 1964 dime. Cha-ching! I am not going to lie. I have been stacking silver and coin roll hunting for almost 20 years. This is the 1st time I've ever seen somebody shuffle a role of 50 cent pieces listening for the sound. This just goes to show that no matter how long you have been doing something there is always something you can still learn. That was a great little ditty. Only some proofs are silver, and they are actually fairly rare. Most of the time you're getting clad proofs, still nice but don't get too excited until you make sure.

You should weigh them , clad half dollars can have an S mint mark , they are from cracked clad proof sets.

Strong Jim Duck K you are correct but honestly they are easy to spot, but for a proof to be silver, for the most part, it has to have an S mint Mark. Same approach I showed here identifies them ;)

I started this April but I'm up to 1.1ozt gold eagles and proudly boastin 48 ozt silver. Just go into banks and ask, if you have a bank, ask them to order you some, you just give them the cash and they will give them to you when they come in, this is in the USA of course if you are international ;) Just released a new video! You are very lucky to be able to walk into ANY bank as you say and request half dollar rolls. A lot of banks will NOT deal with you if do not have an account. I find it funny, that you as an adult man would say”my parents have an account here.” I honestly question three finds out of three rolls, A 100% success rate fromthree random rolls??? You didn’t inform the watchers of getting boxes of half doolars from the bank only to get skunked which is the mostly scenerio. It was a good video but you make it look WAY to easy to find silver cheap.

I go into random banks all the time, most of the time as soon as I ask for 50 cent pieces they do not care and are happy, tellers hate them because they are heavy and take up a lot of space (if they have roles). I have only had to use the parent like once or twice and only been rejected from 2 probably out of 500 times :D I got lucky, I said in the video I cheated because I searched one roll and knew it had silver so I stopped... usually if you get some rolls from 1 person, you are more likely to find silver in other of their rolls if 1 has it. I have found entire rolls of silver before and also been skunked a bunch. Video was legit and a way to teach the technique... if I was gonna lie and make up fake rolls I would have put walkers in benjis in there and gone viral, 40%? That's boring unless its FREE lol :D Thanks for watching!
