Nice work there , sapphires I thought where down deep in a gravel bar when digging so maybe thinking the sandy area might be why you didn’t find any , I have used a rocker box processing for gold and got a nice little ruby years ago , it was shallow area on a river bend with clay as the bedrock about 5 inches down so I processed that got some illuvial gold and the ruby that day and I think a topaz now but at the time I gave it away to an onlooker , regretting that thinking it was quarts at the time, panning for gold can also get gems so they are heavy , like spinels, just my 2 cents worth bud .👍

Glad you enjoy the videos. I didn't have much luck in Tassie finding Sapphires. Maybe Quuensland someday.

That’s a nice clear quartz. Good to find as few stones, just being out there would have been nice anyway.
