This is one of your greatest videos. This gives people the knowledge they need to go out there and find new marks and not just follow in other anglers foot steps. I am very much a pioneering angler and am always on the look out for new ground. Finding features using modern technology is so important to my angling. Your channel is the best in my opinion. Good information and even better entertainment. The BBC should have snapped you up years ago bud.

I found a great spot for fishing this year. Went at low tide and found a nice out crop of rough rock area on both the left and right side with the middle sloping sand. So the fish will no doubt feeding on shellfish since it full of them and look on the ground worm cast mean lugs are around. That's how I find good spots and keep them to myself. After all if you broadcast it all will turn up and the fish will move out that's my theory.

BRILLIANT, i have recently bought a boat a orkney pilot house 20 we were fishing sunday just off the coast of bembridge i.o.w and caught spotted ray and small smoothound what id like to ask you is when is the best time to catch the big smoothound and also what is in the raptor oil ;)

You mentioned about mackerel and the lack of them. Don’t know if you see a massive trawler which scoops up 1000 of these fish and I mean 1000 and you have pair trawlers, and single trawlers and line fishing during the summer by holiday makers and those from the EU who fish in our waters taking tones of them. In Scotland these fish are just about on the edge of becoming no more. Strangely I have never caught them at all and don’t now use them as bait. Trying to give something back to the sea. Unless something is changed that lets fish breed and be left to breed during the seasons much like freshwater seasons (don't know if this still happens) then what chance will they be of getting other species. Fish is more costly now than beef and pork. Personally I think our waters should be ours and breeding ground left alone and areas that are no go to give the fish a chance and lines used for fishing trawlers so you can be more selective which are of size. What your thoughts?

This is true, you really have to think like a fish, I went out fishing and was casting all the way away from the boat and getting nothing, out of curiosity I dropped some bait under the boat and they were all right beneath me!

Mackerel is one of the easiest fish to catch in our waters and will even go for a bare hook
