Don't sleep on Bellibolt. Modest with max SpA and HP evs, electromorphosis, electric terrain, magnet, and parabolic charge. He can survive 6 star raids and do a ton of electric damage. That's also without boosting SpA during the battle so I'm sure it could be better. Love the video btw! Thanks!

It can also learn Acid Spray, which reduces the targets SpDef by -2! (I figure lowering defense is better in raids than boosting attack, since that increases everyones damage, not just yours - I feel like Austin's chart doesn't reflect that enough) And also Eerie Impulse & Light Screen which are great for shutting down special attackers. (I don't think Light Screen & Reflect can be removed by the raid 'mon, someone correct me if that's wrong) - so you have to heal less. Light Screen can also be extended to 8 turns with Light Clay, which should be most of the entire raid if not all of it!

this is the video that got me into endgame tera raids, so i just wanted to come thank you for that. ive been messing around a bit with my iron hands (nature: +atk -spAtk) (evs: 252 hp/atk + filler spDef): drain punch, thunderpunch, belly drum, electric terrain. WITH punching glove. punching glove boost the power of your two main attacks while preventing you from ever proc'ing annoying abilities. electric terrain gives you some terrain control which im assuming will come in handy at some point. the reason i like it is bc for easier raids, you dont even have to belly drum, you can first turn terrain (if you even need to do that) and be fine so its safer in that regard. but mostly i just love the constant power. no matter what you always have a boost, that can only continue to build. glove + belly drum + terrain and then throw on the cheers if you're fancy. specifically, i think it makes those times when all you're buffs get reset at the worst moments less punishing. im working on getting myself an azumarrill (and gholdengo) currently. ty for showing a variety of mons and styles too.

anyone who cares, Austins Iron Hands was doing a lot of damage even while burned because the burn happened before the belly drum. Burn cuts atk in half, then belly drum boosts that half atk by 6. you only need a boost of +2 to essentially mitigate the burn, so Austin had a +4 Iron Hand...essentially.
@Meatbrawl2 жыл бұрын
You might want to double check this as the formula I looked at had the burn multiplier as a separate multiplier... Meaning it's either *.5 (if burnt) or *1 if not burned....
@jaystapes30862 жыл бұрын
@@Meatbrawl right. Its not separate, they all effect the mon all together, both plus' and status effects. Thats why if you Para a mon, then tailwind, or use Agillity to go +2 you have the same speed as before the para. burn cuts atk, belly drum raises it by 6. If you go +2 you've doubled your atk stat, thus why i said that it mitigates burn..per say. Cybertron, Wolfey, Thatsa+One, MoxieBoosted have all echoed this, so not sure what you saw, but what I said wasn't wrong :)
@@thelordlogan status is permanent, yes, boosts are temp as long as the mon stays on field, but it def DOES matter when you get burned. if you get burned after boosts it cuts that boosted atk in half.. if burned BEFORE boosts, then the boosts can mitigate the burns half stat drop...thats why max airstream was so good even after grim para'd you, because boosts DO mitigate status'...not sure how many times i have to keep repeating myself. 😂

I’m thinking that maybe Iron Valiant could be good for raids? Sure it doesn’t have Belly Drum and that sucks, but it gets one of the best offensive typings in the game, with nothing resisting it (at least hitting things for neutral) and it gets Drain Punch and Sword Dance On top of that, it gets to use Spirit Break to its full capacity (unlike Grimmsnarl) in dealing the damage as well as possibly crippling physical attackers And if it isn’t a Physical set you’re looking for, you can also make it a special attacker (though I think Physical is much better due to the higher healing, but it may have a higher damage threshold) by using Dazzling Gleam/Moonlight, Aura Sphere, and Calm Mind But at the end of the day, I think it would be a mid raid pokemon due to how much support and time it needs to fully get going (as opposed to the 1 2 combo of Belly Drum Drain Punch with minus defense and helping hand) 8:42

A bit redundant to do a booster energy on iron hands if you’re already maximizing your attack with belly drum, instead go for a sitrus berry to heal up a little if you get hit right after belly drum and then you’ll basically never die. I have a suggestion for a support-mon, which I think is a role that's a bit undervalued for online raids. From my experience my Teammates have mostly been Belly Drum and Koraidon Users, all physical attackers which makes Screech really good. So how about Corvingknight? Use Screech, Taunt, Roost and your choice from: Swagger, Metal Sound, Light Screen, Reflect or Defog. Mirror Armor as the hidden ability will also let you reflect any stat drops that get past Taunt. With max Speed and HP it seems like an excellent choice for support. Give it Wide Lens to make Screech miss less, or a Mental Herb if you're worried about opposing Taunts.
@CloudianMH2 жыл бұрын
a support mon is wasted dps in 6 star though.
@MarenAlu2 жыл бұрын
@@CloudianMH Making a case to use Koraidon as a Screech user that also does damage is a valid point, but outside of that I may be missing something, but that should not be mathmatically true. Let's say you're in a lobby with 4 people using the regular Iron Hands Belly Drum set (or another physical attacker), we can represent their damage as 4*X. If we instead use 3 of those and one support mon, it'd then be 3*X - except that a single use of Screech cuts the opponents defense in half, essentially doubling your allies damage to 6*X instead of 4*X, a 50% increase in damage. Since you'd be maxing out Speed here you should usually get 2 turns before the other setup mons make their first attack (baring netcode shenanigans), allowing you to protect your allies with Taunt and then set up screech while additionally insulating the team against Defense buffs and Buff Removal. Now if you don''t have 3 physical attackers or a Koraidon also trying to set up Screech then yeah it's not worth considering, that's fair too.

He totally forgot that in the video, but shell bell puts azumarill at almost the same level of survivability than Iron hands I’ve been consistently able to solo 6* raids with Iron hands/Azumarill. Only poison Tera types give me trouble, as it reduces the damage from both drain punch and play rough (which is Azumarill’s to go move once I fairy Tera, which is better than water Tera in most cases).
