You'll be able to find Mateo at the end of your first Route once per day. Mateo will invite you to participate in a Gift Exchange where you can swap an Gift with a random Trainer anywhere in the world. This is likely a precursor feature for potential global trading and/or breeding. 2 trainers follow a route, deposit a Pokémon the same way we do for showcases, then we each trainer receives an egg. Then maybe some wonder trade system if they add global trading.

Something about this video that is very refreshing is the fact that there's no "But is this just another waste of time" sort of thing. Like, I've heard so many people act like "This might be just another waste of time, like this and that,", and I'm like, "Yo, give it a chance, first!". But, yeah. Zoe has that cool attitude of "Hey, this looks worthwhile!", instead of already jumping to "This is probably going to be a waste of time!".

I only add people as friends that I’ve met in person so I haven’t got many of the patterns. I think with the probabilities of getting gifts from the specific regions that you haven’t got scatter bug for it could take a hundred years to complete the vivillion collection. But it’ll be nice to get random gifts from different places.

I can't complain about a feature that just adds to the game. :) I do agree that I wish they made it more of an event for his arrival, like a new accessory or sticker. But I'll take it. I don't use routes much, but it's a nice bonus for when I do!

As a person who was trained to be a professional land surveyor, I feel the need to point out that we do not use that kind of tape measurer to survey land. Nor have we ever done that. There used to be chains that are 66', made up of 100 links, but event hose haven't been used in like 100+ years. I do appreciate that Mateo is a different body type, and I hope this means they'll let us have new avatar body types some day soon. and facial hair.

Love your videos Zoe!!!!!! Three of us did a route together (1st of the day for all of us) in the states before the Tuesday event. One of us got Mateo and the other 2 did not. Completed 4 more routes after that and still no sighting of him. I have only ever gotten 1 zygarde cell from a route on my account so I wasn't surprised I didn't get it (I've accepted that it is a broken feature on my account so it is what it is) but my grandson who is super lucky like Alan didn't have a sighting either. We will give it a try after school today and see what happens!!!!!

Finally a sort of nice new addition to Routes. Only problem is that I can't do Routes or any walking now until the weekends. Since it gets too dark here on the east coast in my little town at 5 pm. I work 8 am to 4 pm but a hour long drive both ways. I'm kind of screwed. I play on my breaks but not aloud to leave the premises where I work. And the gyms/pokestops are too far away to spin. I am completing the Along the Routes tasks, slowly. So I'll get there this weekend. Thanks for the great video Zoe ! Hopefully I will get a postcard from you by chance. I live in Pennsylvania too and have alot of PoGo friends from Australia and New Zealand. EDIT: Great it only runs till Friday at 8 pm !! Welp get the flashlight out. Hope I don't get mugged !

Question - If you don't get Mateo on your first time (first of day) through a route, can he appear if you redo the same route? Or, can you get him from your first time through a different route (not first route of day)? Hope that makes sense. I got him first time, but my friend didn't and would like to know if there's any way to get him that same day or not.

now that i can make routes, i should make one, but i will try not to be rude....but i mean i feel rude at this moment cause it took them this long for me to get the routes to be open. I´ll just go up to the book box and back so like im not that mean but at the same time just meh.....so exited for him though I got two shinnies already IN the wild and on the insence. First ever shinny and thankfully its not another lilypup. What a bogus feature. Totally not bothered with it. It's not for rural players. You can't make routes without Pokéstops or gyms so it's not like I can do anything. I drove to a town & tried to get a route to start 4 time's and it just refused to count any distance. I trashed that one, managed to get the 2nd route there to work, got to the end and no Mateo. So yea not bothered wasting any more time on it.

We Pokemon Go players may be have to first ever experience with Sinnoh Tour without complete Sinnoh Pokemon Pokedex. A little possible Arceus will debut in this season, of course a lot of Hisuian form pokemon from Pokemon Legend Arceus make it debut in this season and this is logic that little possibility Arceus will debut during Sinnoh Tour. I predict largely possible will don't have all Rotom form debut during Sinnoh also little possible Rotom will be Tier 2 raid boss during Sinnoh Tour. How about Manaphy and Phione debut along with Basculegionmoney (all were water type Pokemon) but at least free to play players will not complete it Sinnoh Pokedex because hugely possible Manaphy and Phione locked behind paywall with money.
