Worked Just Fine for me (04/10/2020). I used Tapejara for pursuing and sat on passenger seat do shoot tranqs. Only difficulty was setting It to passive when it got too close to the quetz then targetting again. Ascendant rifle took me 2 minutes to knock It out. Soothing balm makes it a 5 min tame with kibble.

I usually just kill it with my argy too, i knocked 2 quetz in a row out over water before and had them drown. Theyre generallt just worth the amber revive too

Schwalbe! U Need A Resurrection platform To tame quetzal Because it will get killed if u knock it out How its gonna happen? Lemme say it If U Knock out a quetzal it will get knocked near a giga and it will die.. So u need to kill it revive it and tame it in trapped reviving platform but it will take some ambers ;-;

When using toxicant arrow they useless on crosssbow only useful on how and compand bow very here compare| crossbow take 64 shot with Tranq arrow to nock out a giga but 54 with toxicant| but a bow it take about 112 shot with Tranq arrow but 56 shot with toxicant| and compound bow it take 200 shot with Tranq arrow and 41 shot with toxicant| oh btw this a level giga

I did find a 145 quetzal with around 10 times trying, unfortunately it did fall into the beaks of many terror birds. You can do it faster by using the quetzal taming pursuit (not really hard to unlock), it will point out the quetzal location (but you should only turn it on near the obelisk bc it will keep the quetzal not despawn and it can fly away ezly if you arrive late). I even can find out the spawn location on my map, but this is still a very long process. Good luck if you are intending to find one 😘

Fun fact if your quetz isn't spawning just tidy save it and it will spawn in a few seconds just know doing so will despawn any dinos that are not in your render distance

if some of you guys still are having trouble finding a quetzal all you need to do is go to the red obelisk and tap on tidy save and wander around for a little bit and a quetzal should spawn near the red obelisk and if it doesn't you'll have to try again until one spawns

The quetzal i found just despawned because i was too slow i use Tapejara so i can switch seat and use a longneck rifle and shoot it but because i struggle ito finding one, i panic. i could've just kill the quetzal then revive it in the obelisk covered in cage so it cant escape. im such an idiot. I was near the red Obelisk and then i found a lvl 9 quetz (im on easy), and i wasn’t sure if i brought enough arrows with me to tame it. I turned, and BOOM: another, lower quetz spawned right in front of me, and i tamed it😊😂👍🏻but can even spawn 2 quetzals at the same time🤔? When not, the it was probably a glitch or the other one just died...😑

Kaylee Eastman try tidy saving it, don’t worry it wont mess up your sp world, and tidy save means it despawn all wild dinos except your tames. So try tidy save if you loss one or if it dosent spawn, also if it dosent work try looking around the red obe cuase sometimes they spawn everywhere

Just finish taming puirsuits until you reach the tame quetzal puirsuit then find a place where quetzals spawn and start the tame quetzal puirsuit and it will show the location of one thank later
