How to Find Ores in Eco 0.10

Best guide so far that I've found on this. We had terrible access to ore last season on 10. Bunch of miners got burned out and gave up. I was lucky and found the beach iron, but by the point I jumped in to help it was too late to stop the meteor. That was my first play through.

I wasn't expecting beach iron, to be honest. But the fact it's there makes finding iron a lot easier, if you end up totally devaluing your world's beachfront property.

The pancake's still kinda there, it just got kinda broken. Everything else is a mess. :P

@@Y2KNW harder. It felts like skid steer don't do too much after the upgrades. The thin pancake of coal, scattered iron and copper, etc, feels like ores are playing hide and seek

I'm playing 0.10.2.4 beta and my ores aren't spawning like yours AT ALL. My iron ore is still generated in huge veins. Same goes for my gold ore. You show gold ore at height 9 in the Rainforest Biome. I can't find any gold ore in height 9. However, I found one massive gold vein at height 25.

Did you start with a fresh install for 0.10? I remember reading that if you didn't, you might end up with 0.9's generation. My 0.10 install for my single player game is on a whole new PC so what I can say is that my gold's 50ish blocks down under a jungle, from 20 to 26 depending on surface height but I've also found a whole bunch of little bits under the clay on the surface. The iron in my single player still spawns in the two big veins at two different heights, but it's a little broken up instead of being a solid 4-5 high 0.9 had. How's your copper spawning?

Found copper just beneath Boreal Forest (edge of the mountains), already at height 60. Huge veins as well. And nope, definitely not a fresh install. Last time I touched the game was three years ago.

I had a small incline to check out 0.10. Not anymore 🤣 WHY, though? Mining was already a horrible grind.

I've played enough Terrafirmacraft to already be numb to terrible ore generation...

Smelting recipes take half of what they used to. I did many v10 playtest and ngl, once you are use to the new ore generation, you like it better.

It's still down under the jungles. We found it in small bits under jungle clay and then way down where slate gives way to granite. You don't really need it in any large quantity until the last 3rd of the game so it's just a matter of looking for it. Either way, I'll take what we have now over the tiny, scattered deposits of the the past.

When I mined under jungle with a skid steer I managed to find around 10k gold pretty quickly in a small jungle biome. Might just have to get lucky, and bring lots of ramps

They need to change this. The game is already too grindy. Hopefully, someone can mod this or alter the script. Nobody wants to mine that much for a few pieces of ore.

they should buff the decrease in stamina consumption and put the second talent choice as the first option

Play some old-style Terrafirmacraft if you want to see painful ore generation.
