One of the reasons Tag Team cards are higher is due to many people missing the boat. A LOT of folks including myself didn't get into Pokémon till the Pandemic. Tag Team was not easy find. Nowadays I'm hunting XY and S&M for a reasonable price once I pull the cards I want from current sets

I feel like the Espeon Vmax alt art out of the Eevee heroes gym box is underrated right now. It’s selling for 300 at a PSA 10 while the Umbreon is 2k. It might not seem the Espeon is as rare since it’s a given card but, with the box hitting 1k and that’s the only way to get the card, I think people realize soon enough

I agree, as someone who loves Espeon more than Umbreon, I feel it's very underrated. And pretty crazy seeing the English one suddenly tanking in value. I definitely should get a graded Japanese one while it's cheap, because I'm sure in the future this card will absolutely take off.

I feel the same way about gyarados ex, I don't think it'll be a HUGE value, but I mean, it's Gyarados.... and it's a beautiful card. I imagine later down the road that will be a card people are searching for. I agree that Gardevoir will be the most valuable. Arcanine will also be one of those cards people will need to add to their collection years down the road.

Definitely agree with the example you gave of Pikachui & Zekrom RR. I don't think it even comes close to the others. RR is a straight up gimmick; same with gold cards.

Gardevoir and sylveon tag team alt art has past reshizard rainbow in unbroken bonds. Was a good pick up a couple years ago when it was going for $60-$75.

the gold mitsuhiro arita secret rares from the last few xy sets (the BREAK sets to steam siege i think) have been skyrocketing in price recently. i think with the swsh alt art craze, people are going back to the last two generations and revisiting the OG alt arts that were commonly overlooked at release. i believe these secret rares were the first variations of "alt arts" that we know and love today (there was also the official "alt art" designation with the yellow A symbol that was used in xy and sm for reprints of cards with different artworks, but i consider that a different type of card personally.) the arita xy alts also share traits with the tag team cards that were released years later, as all of them showcase several pokemon working together with the featured pokemon on the card. so basically the best of both worlds; hand drawn artworks by mitsuhiro arita and pokemon interacting with each other like the extremely popular tag teams. pretty cool if you ask me :)

In my opinion, the 11 mythical Pokémon Promo from the 20th anniversary are very underrated. They are really beautiful, and even if we see a lot of older alt art rise, these seems to not rise that much… Like except Mew that is like at 18$, Celebi is still at 6$. I think they really worth picking up and that I should pick that meloetta I never picked before it’s too late 😅 There’s an others small collection that I think is very underrated too right now, but I try to collect them right now, so I’ll stay discret 😂😂😂

I actually kind of agree with this. I think there are very few sets where the most expensive card is a full art trainer. Ultra prism and maybe cosmic eclipse are the only two that come to kind. Maybe I’m missing something, but full art trainers seem to rarely do it in an English set.

The main reason I think the rainbow from tag dropped so much is cuz they printed a gold version as a promo.

the value was already low comparing to the peak close to the release date. when the gold version came out on the US, it wasn't even playable anymore. back on the Team Up era, Pikachu Zekrom Tag was a very popular card for the tcg meta.

All the japanese pikachu promos were underrated for a time, even the non full art ones and they all exploded as more people got into it. One card I found recently is the psyduck card on a swing from aquapolis, not even a holo but it's one of the cutest card there is imo. Even the japanese non holo version is $50-100

I agree with you 100%. My fave cards are always the most underrated cards. For example starmie V from astral radiance is my top contender. English version still hovers around $45 but japanese versions go for way more for some odd reason. The were going for $90 a few months ago and now there almost $200. Crazy how things go up and down, etc. In scarlet and violet i got the miriam card and its gorgeous but i feel what you're saying all too well. Its nice but def not the best.

Gardevoir is a very popular pokemon, but it doesn't have the power over people's wallets that some other pokemon like Charizard, Umbreon, Rayquaza etc. have. I think its price position in the set is about where it should be.

I understand you feel responsibility on market influencing, but I feel that you can still explore about whats underrated to you through generalizations. You can always start with what Pokémon is dear to you personally, you can go into year designs you enjoy, or specific poke artists that aren’t popular. I feel there’s lots of sections you can speak on because the card numbers are so vast, without the fear of market influence. I wouldn’t say that the video reflects the title of what it’s like to find & pick underrated cards.

Another card I think is currently way underrated is the Mewtwo V alt art from GO. Pretty crazy witnessing how it went from almost $1,000 on pre-release to practically bulk value. Plus Pokemon GO is a set that is slept on, and I bet it'll blow up again in the future.

see, this is the reason I love your videos, you are so neutral! There are other " influencers" that are so biased and give a lot of false information. I'm not going to name any names but be what it maybe, Scarlet and Violet is very poor in pull rates. I mean the worst I've ever opened and I'm one to open a few cases of each all the time. I think people should be more neutral and give out information that will help the community and not POKEMON for profit. How can you get a fair value of a POKEMON CENTER ETB when you only pull a single I mean single arcanine ex card. That too me is highway robbery. I opened 4 POKEMON CENTER ETBs and i got no grater than 3 hits and only ex and a few trainers. What a waste of money. I'm just going to wait and buy singles.
