I was looking for a way to find the height of a right trapezoid with the given area, and length of the two bases.

She's teaching in the hardest form, there is a easy way to learn how to find the area of a trapezoide

@@arr3783 I don't know if its sarcasm or not but I'll say it is. The reason why I probably understand it is because maybe i'm in a higher year group?
@SJ-ln5dt3 жыл бұрын
Really? I would say this is already easy. I was taught this formula, and I got it memorized in my head. It makes sense anyway since the base would be either the top or bottom in whatever form because it's b1 and b2 (with the numbers as subscripts) and then the height would be the left in this case of the trapezoid. If you think the b1 and b2 is confusing, well the numbers don't really mean anything. If I were to be honest, I thought the subscripts were the same as exponents (which is multiply the number by the number of the exponent), but I asked my teacher if it was true, but she told me that the subscripts only identified the number of BASES there are, so there's no multiplying. If something else besides that is considered "hard", then I'd like to know because this is very simple. If you have time, I would also like to know the 'easier' way and if it's faster 🤔 Edit(specifically 4 minutes after writing comment on top ⬆️):Also, I am watching this video just to check if I was doing perimeter right since our teacher hadn't taught that to us because she always gives us HW we haven't even learned about at class

👨🏻🎓 Mr Teacher here. The problem you describe happens because 8+5/2 should look like this: (8+5)/2 =13/2 = 6.5. Order of Operations applies, as in BIDMAS.
@adventurer4894 жыл бұрын
Can i solve this way ? A= 5+8/2 × 4+5/2 = 13/2 x 9/2 = 6.5 × 4.5 Area = 29.25 sqm Perimeter = √29.25 p= 5.40 😂
