you could also just use the reflected triangle and take its area, or you can just rotate/shift the triangle along the grid since all 3 points lay perfectly on whole numbers to make a 90 degree triangle.

I am still genuinely confused. I am in 6th grade, and I have struggled with math for years. I can never fully comprehend it, no matter what.
