No 🙏🏽 you need to serve notice (as per your lease). Usually they require 1-2 months notice so they can reasonably find someone to replace you. They may try charge a penalty but this can be negotiated especially if they are able to find a tenant in time to takeover - the landlord just shouldn’t have to take a loss because you’re leaving. Other leases include clauses like ‘costs of finding a new tenant’ will be on you if you end the lease early - hence you see people sometimes offering to do their own tenant search and asking on socials if anyone is looking for accommodation etc. because that way it cuts down the finding fees. All in all - read your contract well and it should direct you.🙏🏽
