Madam, all your lectures are so lucid! We did not have calculus in high school, and as a clinician I needed to understand the dynamics of the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. I have been able to learn calculus from your lectures, and have been successful in understanding the epidemic curves much better. thanks so much!

Thank you SO much NancyPi! This video saved my life because my online lecture skipped the tangent equation part, making it extremely confusing and having me stuck in a problem because I forgot how to recreate the Y-Y1=m(X-X1) form and turning it into Y=mX+b for the final answer. You explained this concept very clearly and I am extremely grateful for this. I subscribed to you and liked the video. Thank you again and I hope to watch more of your Calculus videos in the future. Best regards.

16:04 just in case anyone wants a bit of clarification on how she got √3 and how you can find it yourself, tan is equal to sin/cos. (And cot is cos/sin.) Ok, So to find tan of π/3, just do sin(π/3) over cos(π/3) Use your unit circle (or look for that awesome, old video on youtube on how to memorize the unit circle) and you'll see sin(π/3) = √3/2 cos(π/3) = 1/2 (as you are shown in the video) so divide the two... or even better, multiply one by the reciprocal of the other. √3/2 times 2/1. The twos cancel out and you're left with √3

I always found point slope formula unnecessarily complicated. I find it much easier to use the well known y=mx+b substitute x and y with with your (x,y) ((1,3) in the first example) coordinate values, and substitute m (5) with your slope value and solve for b. So 3=5(1)+b ---> b=-2 Now rewrite y=mx+b with your b and m value so y=5x-2 ezpz
