Very helpful, indeed. Too often I come across students who have had little or no exposure on how to write an equation, given the grap of the equation. Much too much fuss over reliance on a graphing calculator for answers, but that falsehood misses the point. I think the learning curve for students is enhanced by working out the algebra while understanding the "visuals" as to how the equation is being formulated.

thank you for video, I draw a curve that doesn't cross the x or y axis, it is in the 1. region, starts with (0,0), goes to +x direction, at point (30,6) it is max value and while x is increasing, curve approches to x axis, but doesn't touch. It ends at (150,3). How can I find equation of this curve?

Sir what if the graph does not have real roots how do i find the equarion.
@Sangeeta.kumari.075 жыл бұрын
Shaylen Murali then the graph must be imaginary and it (curve) will not touch the xaxis and you will mark the value on y +ve or -ve axis.... Welcome if it helped you

His x-intercept does not appear to be zero in the third example, but I guess for the sake of this function he's working with the area of the curve above x and y intercept.
@limhangxd78656 жыл бұрын
what are x and y intercepts ?
@squickycow55065 жыл бұрын
Means that the line intercept x .. mean y=0 .. if the line intercept y . Means x=0
@MarkQub4 жыл бұрын

@10salim057 ай бұрын
The first solution is not totally right. Since the minimum point is unknown the equation should be y= a(x+2)(x-6) where a can be any value. The X intercepts will still be -2 and 6.
