How to Find the Friends Apartment Building in NYC

Phoebe also lived in the main apartment after her apartment (well, bedroom(s) ) was burned down after they realised it was Rachel's straightener that did it. I went to NYC with a partner that did not want to do ANYTHING, but we DID see the Friends building, and I LOVE Friends. I don't know when I will make it over now, super afraid of any form of transport after a car crash and I'm in Ireland, but I would *definitely* do this. Thank you for the wonderful video ♡

I just found out the Central Perk was just a set in Burbank where they filmed everything except the outside of this apartment building and some other shots of Manhattan streets where the cast never actually was. 😞

They were taped in warner bros studio In Burbank, Cali. Never in NYC. Just the city theme the creator selected NYC

Only the final episode was filmed at warner. Seinfeld was filmed at Radford Studios in studio city, CA. They actually have a NY street on the premises, and so many of the street scenes were shot there.

I can't believe I just now found out that all the filming was done in Burbank. I wonder why they ever bothered with using the exterior of this apartment building and other shots of Manhattan including the Twin Towers and having the story set here if the cast was never here... they should have just set the story in Burbank being as how that's where the "Central Perk" coffee house scenes were all filmed...

Friends was mostly shot at Radford studios in studio city. They have a street called New York street, which are facades. Most of the outdoor "NY" shots of them on the streets was shot there. The final episode was filmed at warner bros studios in burbank. In reality, there was nothing NY about friends. LA has 4 studios with exterior sets which can double as NY.

People do manage. Sidewalk almost always have ramps and New Yorkers are very courteous to those in wheelchairs or with strollers, etc.
