If I'm playing a map that doesn't have to many rooms I would usually go with video camera to do a sweep in every room for orbs

@@Runic-0 I'm always torn about which tools I want in first. I end up going with the things that require the ghost to interact with it - so things like the DOTS or ghost writing book or UV light - even the EMF. I almost never bring in a thermometer. I feel like they're pretty useless.

Definitely not wrong! But have you noticed in the last week or two that sometimes glowsticks won't show fingerprints/footprints? And then sometimes the UV won't show them but the glowstick will. It's made me double check everything multiple times.

i like the thermometer because even if the ghost doesnt provide freezeing temperatures, the ghost room is always cooler than the rest of the location (better if its not a large map)

The thermometer has gone through quite the ride since the game release. It was the go-to tool at the beginning because it was easy to tell where was a bit cooler than everywhere else. Then they changed it and it was all over the place. It's been tweaked since then and it's a bit better, but I still don't love the randomness. In my most recent challenge video, I actually used the thermometer to verify it wasn't in the area behind where we thought the ghost was. It was just too warm to be the ghost's room!

the straight of phasmo is the sound imo 3:17 at this point i just ask HIDE AND SEEK and i listen to where it is at, if its nearby we just laugh and die i guess 🤣🤣

I can not tell you how many times I thought I was far enough away and then died to a cursed possession. 🤣 Thankfully I don't take this game too seriously and even when I die, I laugh it off (most of the time).

I already upload to TikTok and Reels but now I think I may have to make one or both of them my primary for that type of content. YT isn't helping at all.

By posting there, I prevent someone from stealing my video from YT and uploading it as their own. They do not have scheduled posting though... and that was my biggest hang up with tiktok.

I mostly use them to watch for glowy footprints. I find that they can be glitchy to find fingerprints... at least at the moment. If you're having issues getting fingerprints, remove the dots projector. It seems to be interfering with fingerprints at the moment.

I do not use reshade. I looked into it when the game first released but the side by side looks.... the same. I typically play on higher settings - but not always the highest. I record video at 4k and 60fps and render at the same. So that probably helps. But your game should look like this when you play unless you've got your settings super low.

So how do you identify the sound that ghosts make(throwing items, opening doors and stuff), and you know that's the ghost room instead of it just roaming and doing stuff?

There's only a few ghosts that roam very far. If you hear sounds of thrown items, most likely the ghost is in that spot or very near by. If I find thrown equipment, I always start there and then move only when the evidence pulls me to another location.

@@mpc2846 Yes! Very few ghosts wander very far from their haunting locations! If you find a ghost that is doing stuff far from the area you think they are haunting, it's most likely a banshee, phantom, wraith or possibly a twin.

@@mpc2846 If you have a ghost that starts a hunt far from it's room, I'd look closer for evidence of a banshee, phantom or a wraith. The twin has more range than most ghosts but even it still has a limit. The wraith actually can teleport to a player - the othere two can roam farther. But all ghosts can roam outside of their room a bit - just not FAR. Remember though that during a hunt, any ghost can move far from their room - but they teleport back to their room at the end of the hunt.

my favorite way is with salt believe it or not, not very effective on large maps, but on those house maps it works like butta

I typically use salt to rule out wraiths and get photos. Not much else. But if you aren't sure exactly what room - you are right, this does help. I've had a ghost that did stuff in the hallway in tanglewood but was actually in the bathroom. Salt makes it obvious where they are sometimes.

When you ghost hunt? When I run public lobbies, I can always tell the scared players from the not scared players. Scared players do one of two things - find reasons to be outside (often just outside the front door) or they stick to me. I don't mind because I remember when I was scared and sticking together definitely helped me. But I also don't mind when players need to step outside because they're scared.
