Honestly, all of what is in the "easter egg" location is very useful early game. If you discover this super early, you can have inserters before they unlock and biobricks before you can make them. Not to mention the extra drills lying around and the nearby hidden chest with extra useful early game goodies. Finding this late in the game is not that helpful of course. But I still think this spot is pretty darn amazing for those who opted to explore a little instead of mindlessly completing tasks. Also worth noting, this wall is easily the thinnest in game so that players can easily pickaxe through it before even having the mole. There is also another early game easter egg, but it's not a location. If you complete the mining objective Sparks gives you without using drills, she gives you a different series of voice lines. Overall I love the fact the devs put in such small unnecessary little touches like that. Shows they really care about the game they are making.

The 5x9 tunneling is in the same facility as the green cube. The 9x9 flattening is in the facility near the elevator. 9x9 tunneling doesn't exist, unless I missed something (working from memory here though, so don't attack me! :P)

You need to keep upgrading your main base. I believe the technology is somewhere in tier 7 or 8.

Do you mean Pack Size II? That is in the same building you find the treshers and planters.

The game needs a better map. It shouldn't be AOE (it's fine if the Minimap is like this), and should show you everywhere you've been. Game also needs beacons to be useful as right now they suck.
