I am new to your channel. You are amazing. I’m 56 and losing my hair because I believe the dreaded menopause. I love your honesty about when the wig arrives, it’s not you. You are a pro with these wigs and ooze confidence. I need one but dreading the whole thing. The cap, how to secure it etc. I need to educate myself from your channel. I’m losing myself as used to feel attractive etc. thank you x 🇬🇧

What a lot of people don't understand is that many of us NEVER EVER had a full set of hair. i have always had thin, flat to the head hair and very little of it. If I could find a wig that was like my thin, fine, flat hair was I would buy it in a minute. And yes, I tried all kinds of wigs, cut, thinned out blah blah blah.
@MelsBeAgeless Жыл бұрын
Madeline, I understand. I hope you find your perfect wig someday! It took me about a year to get use to any extra volume. LIke you said I've mostly only seen myself thin flat hair.
@loadabollocks Жыл бұрын
Thin, flat hair here, too. I thought I'd like a lot of volume but it looks odd with my small face. I'm still searching for the perfect light density wig. I had one which was perfect, looked like it was growing out of my own head, but the shade was too dark. Got the same wig, same brand, in a lighter shade - the color was fine but it was almost a different wig, very poorly constructed compared to the first. I've almost given up.
@madelinem3216 Жыл бұрын
@@loadabollocks Im sure there are a lot of us out there. I have given up already. I have spent so much money on wigs and then end up giving them away. Good luck in your journey.

Just discovered you on you tube, your explanations are fantastic. Please tell me what curling machine you use, it must be on 240v because i live in Belgium. Thanks a lot for giving me the information on this. It has to be plastik, and really do not know which one is ok. You are perfectly right when saying you have to work a wig to make it your own, and also to buy quality wigs like from Raquel Wellch. So happy i have found you ! Your explanations are all to the point . You are so great...❤

Is real hair more common in low density hair? Would a topper be a good introduction into wearing wigs? Matching hair color is so hard. I found that all the wigs I bought were significantly different in hair color in real life than in the pics.
@MelsBeAgeless Жыл бұрын
Maggie, I think finding a synthetic low density is as easy as human hair. Just have to research through the wig retailers online and look at the reviews. I agree that getting the color is the hardest choice. Knowing your skin undertones help and what clothing colors you like to wear can give you a clue if you should go for a cool or a warm color.

I'm like you! I have grey hair but get tired of the cool colors & love warm colors!! Gotta have both! Lol😘 HOWEVER...I'm TERRIBLE at trying to fix a wig into something I like bc Im terrible at styling hair! I can't get my own to look decent either & there's alot less to even try with! :-( So, I was hoping a wig would be the answer but can't find one I really like or the color I prefer. :-( So hoping I can learn from you! ❤

Can you show how to clean, wash, etc. Funny I had to order "grey" bobby pins from Amazon, because I couldn't find ANY in the stores in my town. Funny, huh? What is Micellar Water?
@MelsBeAgeless Жыл бұрын
Bonita, that video coming soon! Micellar Water is a makeup cleansing water you can get at a drugstore or cosmetic store. It gets the makeup out of your hair, off your face. I've even used it to get makeup off my collar.

How do you get the crown of the wig to flatten to your head? When I try wigs on, the crown area is SUPER big on me and it just doesn't look real.
@MelsBeAgeless Жыл бұрын
Hoki, the wig you are putting on may have permatease that make the wigs have a lot of height. All of my wigs but one doesn't have any permatease. If the cap isn't snug on your head it may be the wrong size.
