Whenever the leading term has an odd power, the range will be either - infinity to infinity or vice versa. Whenever the leading term has an even power, the range won't be negative infinity to infinity but instead be limited (by transformations, etc). If is a quadratic expression w/ even leading power, may have to solve for the vertex by using the formula -b/2a to find x & then plug that value in to solve for y. 7:11 Absolute value functions transformations with corresponding ranges. 9:12 Radical function ranges & graphs (sign outside of radical & inside by x determine which quadrant line will be in). 10:09 For transformed radical function.
