-pi/6 isn’t exactly equal to 5pi/6, but they do have the same reference angle. This is because 5pi/6 is a distance of pi/6 away from 1 pi (the negative or left side of the x axis), and -pi/6 is also a distance of pi/6, but this is from 0 pi (the positive or right side of the x axis). So, they’re both pi/6 away from the x axis meaning they have the same reference angle, pi/6. I hope this helps!
