In this tutorial, I will teach you how to perform thematic analysis. Eventually we will go from interview transcripts to a full qualitative data analysis report. For this tutorial, I will be using NVIVO 14, one of the most popular software for qualitative data analysis.

I would advice against that as visualization and comparing the participants codes could be a problem later on. But if you don't want to do any visuals you could do that.

Have you used nvivo for #qualitative research WITH 2 TWO LANGUAGES? Ie transcripts in Spanish but paper is to be in English. I would prefer to code in Spanish and use translation for quotes as opposed to #translation of all transcripts then code. #nvivo Can you keep a side by side transcription and translation in nvivo?

I have not tried that. But I think translation has to come first because if the final report is in English, you will need interview excerpts in English.

I don't think there is so much of a difference. The working areas are the same. Maybe Nvivo14 has more tools than Nvivo12 for advanced users and a different user interface.

I would advise against that since there are many comparisons you can't do or charts you can't draw..
