This video is about finding out EPI & PPI in the woven fabric.
It also explains the procedure to find out count used in the fabric both warp and weft direction. These informations are very important to produce a similar fabric which is available in the market.
Minimum three samples should be analysed to achieve 100% result of count, EPI and PPI

Zari or jari fabric .zari is eventhread of original gold electroplated with silk yarn and weaved in the fabric.( ஜரிகை ). Normally it was used in silk sarees ,salwar, kameez ,and children's wear. Later half zari fabric has emerged . instead of gold , copper and silver was electroplated and zari fabric produced. Due to industrialisation lot of imitation zari work has emerged using, different yarn and different chemicals.the imitation fabric has flooded the market.now it has become difficult to the public to identify original zari fabric and imitation fabric. You must have heard , old silk sarees were sold for huge amount, because all the silk sarees carry some gold. Thank you.keep learning.

Pls watch the video carefully. Ends. 124 Picks. 82 The 171 is number of yarn I un rowed in the warp and 34 in weft direction. This is to find out yarn count. As you said it is not wpi and weft per inch. Technical videos should be watched very carefully ,other wise we will misunderstand.

Warp yarn is stronger than Weft yarn.

Weight of 1000 metres of yarn is called Tex . It is metric count system. Normally manmade fibres are measured as Tex.
