I’m more of a doodling artist. I love watercolours, I make all my friend’s cards. I make personal cards. I’ve never sold. I just love drawing, I can’t help myself, I get so excited in a stationary store, or an artist store. I’ve loved drawing since I was a really little girl. I now -ain’t with my grandchildren, despite not having this as a profession, I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL ❤

This was so helpful! I like your teamwork. Your husband is great with the gift of verbal explaining, while you give simple examples and demos, It was perhaps the best tutorial on finding myself. Recently I bought a new teapot. I was attracted to a yellow one. But I bought a blue one. Now I find myself wondering why I chose the blue one over the yellow. LOL! I loved this KZbin. I understand so much more how a painting comes from within my own personal attractions. and also how my personality creates the framework.

This was extremely beneficial and appreciated. I’ve been meditating on how to combine my athletics without looking like anyone. Mood boards have been a tool I used this week and helped me but you have honed down all the elements to consider here so well. I have decent skill but always lost how to create a consistent body of work. I’m planning to move that way now. Dmetri I think the bees you dream of may be symbolic of pollination. I saw something similar in a vision a while back as I get some similar symbols. You take what you do and pollinate others. Like the bee, you know how to take something valuable from a dormant place and move it to create life. The bees take pollen from the male flower to the female and so the inception of new fruit, vegetables or seed. Generosity of knowledge and beauty does this. Wonderful video. God bless.

I am watching the replay, and I love what Dimitra says about, well everything in this video, but what hits home with me is putting up things you find beautiful, and making your space/art studio beautiful, it helps your mood and you want to be in there. I am constantly blurting out, 'I can't work under these conditions' joking with myself, but also serious, because my art studio is cluttered and messy. I LOVE the idea of putting up things that I find beautiful, fun, whimsical and inspiring, and... well decluttering... I have loved to draw most of my life and had an art scholarship in high school, but never followed my dream back then. Just learning and taking classes throughout time here n there. Now I am almost 60, eep! But, have tasted success selling paintings but from classes that I have taken, and just changed things up or did some of my own, but, not finding my style yet. I am following you these past few weeks taking classes to try to learn more and find to hopefully my style. One day, I hope to take the Mastery Program, in the meantime, love watching all your videos. Congratulations on your success, it is so impressive and you are very talented. LOVE your style and paintings!

BEWARE, Love the concept of the program and the family, what they say they stand for ❤ was so excited to start, 6 months in I hadn’t yet finished the first month of classes but had payed for 6 months of classes. Had personal challenges, lost my job and my car was totaled by a local mechanic. Couldn’t continue with the program until I got back on my feet and I was told there were no options for me. They locked me out of the classes! I couldn’t access even the classes I paid for. BEWARE

I am sorry you had that experience, but it was not at all that way for me. I had to stop and restart the program, and all it took was an email. They were very understanding and helpful. They do only allow that once though, but they are very clear about that, and I completely understand. They are a business also and have to have policies in place. Good luck with everything and the best to you!

Same. I started, had to stop after a few months due to financial hardship, then was able to resume about a year later, I emailed them and paid the rest in full, and was granted the full access back .

This is fantastic! I did the exercise and wrote down my aesthetic, taste, and process. I had a creative block recently so this will help. However I last week I wanted to create something beautiful, but was too afraid to start. So I did a series of ugly art. I told myself that I would just create whatever came to mind with no idea of what colour palette I wanted to use, no subject, or technique, I just started. Knowing that it was my ugly art collection allowed me to be free of expectations. One piece really was ugly lol, but the other was really interesting and textured, and I love it.

Dimtri -your 'Why' so resonated with me. I simply fall into a different space entirely when I'm painting - everything disappears, my brain goes somewhere else and the universe opens. I purchased the Masterclass some time ago. I've been having serious health issues, but am becoming very 'antsy' because I haven't been making art and I'm aiming to get at it again very soon. Painting sitting down is not ideal for me, but it's better than not painting. Thanks for giving me the boost I need to get to 'work'.

I’d place myself at 1.5 I’ve tried a variety of workshops in last cpl of years such as encaustics & figure drawing. Perhaps i need to learn more drawing as I had a stroke and it’s impacted me with tremors & I used to look at something & be able to draw it fairly okay, ie: figure drawing. But since stroke I lost ability to spatial perception and my hand/pencil no longer draw what I see. Maybe I need to mix parts of various subjects and perhaps some collage with it. Unless I magically find an artist teacher to teach/mentor me whom understand how strokes impact and how to help stroke survivors basically draw what they see. Or maybe differently. kari west coast Canada I really hope you have suggestions for me. Thank you 🙏

I'm curious where your son goes when you paint? I'm a stay at home Mom, my husband works, we can't do daycare and have no family or babysitter in our state. My daughter has a very needy temperament ( she's 2 and STILL!!!) and my art has basically become non-existent since my morning sickness during pregnancy. I miss art so bad but I never feel I have the time without sacrificing the state of our home or time with my child.... Any tips?

One more question: Jake said something about ruining a canvas. I did that yesterday by trying to use oils for the first time. Is it normal to ruin a canvas? I know with acrylics I could just paint over it. I have thought of putting a new canvas fabric over it and starting again. What would you do?
@donnaeichenlaub81808 ай бұрын
If your new create canvas to practice on. Get White house paint and paint over cardboard or multimedia paper. This is a tip from Milan that has helped me quite a bit.
@bumblebee_ms8 ай бұрын
@@donnaeichenlaub8180 Can you elaborate. I tried house paint on canvas, and it was awful, so I put gesso over it. Is the cardboard to practice on? If so, thanks for the tip.
@donnaeichenlaub81808 ай бұрын
I have not tried house paint on canvas just the media board and cardboard. Yes it is just to practice on so you are not wasting canvas which can be so expensive.
