In this video we will talk about how to find yourself from the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. Friedrich Nietzsche was one of the biggest precursors of existentialism. According to him, finding yourself is one of the most fundamental endeavors of your life.
So with that in mind, here are four steps, inspired by the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, which you can take from, to help you get closer to finding yourself and becoming who you truly want to become -
01. Don’t follow the herd mentality
02. Embrace the difficulty of self-discovery
03. Say yes to what gives you meaning
04. Find your true values
We hope you enjoyed watching the video and hope this video helps you get closer to finding yourself and becoming who you truly want to become.
Friedrich Nietzsche was a German philosopher, poet, essayist, and cultural critic. He is considered to be one of the most daring and greatest thinkers of all time. His writings on truth, morality, language, aesthetics, cultural theory, history, nihilism, power, consciousness, and the meaning of existence have exerted an enormous influence on Western philosophy and intellectual history. He was one of the biggest precursors of existentialism, which emphasizes the existence of the individual person as a free and responsible agent, determining their own development through acts of will. By his famous words “God is dead!”, Nietzsche moved the focus of philosophy from metaphysics to the material world and to the individual as a responsible person for his own life. Friedrich Nietzsche wrote several books like The Birth of a Tragedy, Human, All Too Human, The Dawn, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Beyond Good and Evil, Twilight of the Idols, The Will to Power, The Antichrist, and many more. His teachings have shaped the lives of many people; from psychologists to poets, dancers to social revolutionaries.

I dont understand it. 1st what do you mean by "yourself" You have the I and the myself. And the myself is beeing created by everything around you what you then on terms identify with the I or me. So to be or not to be. Is not to be yourself by not making it personal emotional identification. When the sun goes down you dont want it to go down because you identify good emotions on it just going down. If you see it a it will go down you dont identify but really can see the beauty of it. So stop trying to be. Just observe and investigate without beeing de yourself only then I think you can really control the balance

So how is anyone supposed to teach that this is a holographic existence where we are holograms/images always immersed within simultaneous time which is a holodeck? "Self-discipline" is a term one must be very careful about. If it is an imposed "value" from our past, it can be highly destructive, turning life into a race on a hamster wheel, a race we can only lose. It can also carry with it much shame from our past, as, should we fail at something, it must be because we were not sufficiently self-disciplined. It can then become a rationale for seeking solace in self-destructive behaviour, the very opposite of self-disciplined behaviour. I think the focus needs to be on a truly healthy and positive sense of self-love. With that, self-discipline can become a powerful tool for helping us to achieve what we decide we want for ourselves, to become the better person we need to be.

I had to face my loneliness and honestly, I’m okay. I’m surviving. Studying and listening to different ideas about philosophy has helped me so much. I deleted my social media apps and it feels so liberating. I realized that I don’t care about the people I used go to high school with anyway. I don’t care about other people’s expectations. It's never true rebellion unless you know yourself, the true self. Rebellion for rebellions sake is infantile. You're playing a game of language semantics. Every individual who truly believes to be free is in rebellion. Of course you get superficial individuality this in no way is a refutation of Nietzsche's teachings but rather an affirmation of it. We can never judge someones true internal values and intentions and if you know yourself who the fuck honestly cares because it's about the self not the herd and in that is where the truth is about the self. The knowing as opposed to the perception of others.

I had a realisation while walking around the streets earlier today: it's painful to see yourself as you really are because two difficult things will become clear to you. The first is that your life is not what it could potentially be. The second is that you will see that you have limits. Both are difficult to grasp and I'm not yet ready to truly "audit" myself but I'm working towards it.

@@wanderingsoul1189 thanks! Yet, it's weird. My parents don't really understand the 'being along' thing, nor do my friends and even ex partners. They think it's weird, strange, that I'm an introvert and loner. However, I'm actually not introverted at all. I'm quite capable of opening and holding a conversation with anyone and everyone, whether big groups or intimate. The fact that I can be on my own and enjoy my own company seems to urk a lot of people, yet to be, perhaps they're the ones that are insecure and insanely depended on needing the admiration and company of others. I find myself bucking the system, thinking differently, and being independent. It's a brilliant state of mind and I feel bold and strong each and every day!

@scottperry7311
@scottperry7311 3 жыл бұрын
A lot of it has to do with the fact that if you succeed then they think it reflects poorly on them. They would have to question who they are and what they are doing, they would also feel that others would see them as failures, so its easier to pull or nock you down than to face themselves and their choices, it says more about them than you. Its funny because on other hand if they do better than you I'm sure they are not trying to pull you up, instead they use their better position to feel superior to you, to boost their ego. This is because inside they have little or no self worth, only the worth of position, and again it says more about them than you. The best thing is to get away from those people, they are in constant unnecessary competition with you and will work to undermine and sabotage your accomplishments, which will result in mostly negative results. When you have found yourself and are confident in yourself, you will not look to pull others down or be more successful than others to have self worth. You will be glad for your friends who do better, and help pull up your friends who are not doing well, and they would do the same for you. In this kind of relationship with the people around you it would lift you all up, it would be a group of people you would cherish and who would cherish you the same, and in that you would be a very lucky person indeed.

It's unfortunately the pandemic of Jealousy and envy. I've only realized in the past 2 years how often I have been the unknowing victim of people's Jealousy. Thinking back to people's reactions and words and lack of enc or celebration regarding things I was excited about or simply even contemplating, I realize that this was their own jealousy at play but because I wasn't aware of it at the time, I let their behaviour get to me and diminish my own celebrations or not even try to go bigger and believe in myself to reach the huge untapped potential I know I have. It's actually really insidious and still makes me very sad that I allowed them to impact me this way. Even sadder it's often the people closest to you who do it. I find strangers or casual acquaintances are far more encouraging so now I just share with them, ie mainly strangers on the internet, rather than people I know. I'm protecting my spirit from jealous energy now.

After reading around 15-20 books of philosophy and some other books of Psycology together with scientific litterature of how the brain and body works, together with dicussions over many hours, over many years I feel satisifed with my path. It was an interessting, frustrating and confusing journey at times. I did it for me. No one else. I do however consider that even as an individual you are always part of a herd, but having more control of your role is what I consider important.
