Thanks for the video. Now I know that I have seen three cells fading away. I got one sighting after abandoning a route to go home. Apparently it spawned well off the route while I was away from the phone. I saw it fading when I opened. Hints from me: Do not do busy areas - the cells will be hidden by other critters. Do not use a purified buddy - the sparkly trail looks the same as cells. Watch the clock - a cell spawns at the time you should be almost finishing according to the route's description of the time. I have submitted 5 routes, got three approved.

Thanks and yes, it was helpful but also I've followed several routes seen one cell but it disappeared. Ummm and Niantic does realize we are walking right? I mean who wants to stare at their phone all the time. Make the cells more obvious and last longer.

Thanks for the info! I’ve been running route’s daily for the last 5 days and haven’t found one tho, very annoying lol and it’s feeling like getting zygarde’s complete form is an impossible task atm through normal gameplay

I Never knew that you could do quests in Pokémon go! I always played Pokémon go by just going to stops and catching random Pokémon. This helped so much because I was like “wth is a zygarde cell?!” 😭 when I got this quest. I didn’t even realize that I’ve seen 3 of these in the past few days 😭🤦🏻‍♀️ ahhh I always skipped out on them! Thankyou so much for the information

Very helpful video as it's good to know to be careful about the route at the end so you don't lose your cell spawn. Now it's just a matter of getting routes submitted and waiting on approvals. Sadly no routes in any of the areas I play currently. Wish there was a way to locate routes further out or even if they were announced on Campfire like when people say I caught this here and they share it on the map.

Why did they make them so hard to see? Has Niantic never played their game when the sun is out? Even with my phone's brightness all the way up, these things are too hard to spot.

We're hoping that route creation will be rolled out to more people over time. I wish we knew the requirements, but some are thinking it might be similar to submitting wayspots so level 37. None of us know a timeline, so it's kind of frustrating.

@@Allegingtuna I’m level 41 .. just got finished doing 4 different routes this afternoon. Zero cells .. my guess is that if you can’t make routes like I can’t , your not going to get cells . Seems to be bugged. Then when you look at you need 250 lol goodluck . Would be better as a daily to complete five routes for 3 cells etc. so as of right now I’ll wait till I am able to make routes .. cause it’s not worth it to me.

@@johnmcnulty516 finding cells has nothing to do with the ability to create cells. There are numerous people in the community that I have on twitch and discord who have found cells but cannot make routes. It is frustrating how rare cells can be.

@@Allegingtuna so I took the chance again this morning.. It was a 1400m 34 min route .. great day for it :) but I finally see the problem . Not one single Pokémon had the route spawn symbol on them when you clicked them to catch. So it’s bugged at least for me .

@@johnmcnulty516 I've heard reports recently that during the Glittering Garden event, some people have seen fewer route spawn pokemon with the symbol. I tested it and wasn't affected by lack of route spawns. I really wish they would make this feature consistent since it's rather frustrating.

This info is very helpful! I've only done a couple routes so far, but I'm glad more are getting approved. I knew professor Willow said to look for green things along the route but that wasn't very specific XD now I have a much better idea of what to look for, and will remember to have my view zoomed out a bit in case it spawns further away from my avatar. I'll also make sure to slow down towards the end of the route just in case something pops up last minute 👍👍

i found 2 cells on one single route, one was kinda towards the middle and one towards the very end. i almost didn't get to click on the end one as it was like 2 seconds before the route ended when i clicked on it. but that's only happened once for me and ive completed about 40 routes so far

That's a good question and it is something that may need more testing unless Niantic gives the community the information we need for routes. So far it seems that route spawns tie in with the length of the route and a precise distance is currently assumed to be 3 route spawns per ~1500 meters. Most of the time people have reported seeing an average of 3 route spawns per route.

I wish they stood out more and didn't appear towards the end of routes. My Zygarde cell count is low and I feel like I may have missed them instead of not getting them. Hopefully your luck turns around and you find plenty more!

Do you recommend I continue to do the same route until I find a Zygarde cell, then check to see how many I collected, then go and do another route repeating until I reach the 3 cells/day cap???

According the the information I've gathered and read over, cells have only been collected on routes the first time they have been completed for the day and not on a repeat run of the same route for the day. I haven't tested this much and the most I have done a route in a day is 7 times with no cell at all. It may be best to run multiple routes a day if you are trying for the 3 cell cap a day.

For me, 1000/1000 times its a regional pokemon. Ive done about 20 routes over 50 or so kilometers and havent gotten a single cell.

Routes are not giving me zygarde cells at all. I’ve done 25 routes and not seen a single one. Routes suck and Niantic needs to improve this feature.

From my experience of doing routes with multiple people, cells appear to be personal spawns similar to how spawns from using an incense are personal and not everyone in the immediate area sees the same ones. During one of my routes with a friend, he found a cell and mentioned it so I checked and I didn't see one and then he claimed it. I hope this helps!

It's frustrating when submissions get denied, I've had numerous wayspots and even a few routes get turned down. My advice is don't let that get to you and keep sending them in, they've gotta accept them sometime!

When u say watch the left where the cell spawns. I am confused. Because on the right side it looks like there is another cell and when it rolls to 306 it looks like there is a cell above the one u clicked on the map as well. Maybe I’m having a hallucination.

Is your adventure sync enabled by chance? As strange as it sounds, I have heard that adventure sync has been causing issues with routes for some people. If you do routes again, try disabling adventure sync and see if that helps. Sorry to hear about your crashes.

@@Allegingtuna Hi Allegingtuna: The route is almost a straight line, about 13 blocks. The beginning point is a Gym and the end point is also another Gym. Now the one I did 30 miles away had both a blue flag and a red flag. My local one is completely different. Thanks so much for the quick reply.

I feel that routes could have been implemented better so that the event around them was more positive. I know there are a lot of folks in the same boat as you that are unable to create routes but we’re hoping that soon everyone will be able to use that feature.

When you pass a zygarde cell does it register automatically or do you have to click on the cell? I’m vision impaired and I don’t know that I’d be able to see it. I’ve done 7 routes so far but haven’t seen any cells yet

You have to click on it to collect it unfortunately and they can sometimes be hard to spot. Instead, I wish they were included in the route completion rewards.

Tried doing the one and only route in my city today and it got paused automatically because the game said that my location could not be established, even though the gps was working fine. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do to fix this issue?

The only thing I've heard is that areas with poor signal or a lot of GPS drift can cause issues but you mention that your GPS was fine. Sorry to hear about your location not being established. Is the route outdoors? Are there things that could be causing location issue around like buildings? As frustrating as it sounds... I would try restarting and trying again. Some of the routes stuff seems rather buggy.

@@Allegingtuna The route is located outdoors. There are buildings but not too tall ones. Trees are also present in the route area. I've tried restarting as well as reversing the route path. Same result of not being able to get my location.

Routes are available in the UK, the problem is not everyone can make routes yet. It seems that Niantic is slowly rolling them out to trainers still. I have talked with trainers in the UK who have done routes in their area though. I hope you get access soon Lewish!
