There are many ukulele Guru's on youtube but no one expresses the way you have expressed and explained the small small details of finger picking style. Thanks a lot sir, you have made my begginer journey easy rather very easy three finger tremolo practicing on regular basis no matter how frustrating it unless it is perfect, I am going to do that. Thanks a lot Sir. love and respect from India.

Such a great lesson! So many great ideas to ponder and try. That three finger tremolo sounds so dang lovely. Thank you for answering those questions I had. Thankfully it seems like I only have to completely reprogram how I do the alternate fingerpicking, and the rest just needs moderate to major adjusting. 😅 These lessons are always so great, that's why I'm so obsessed with them (along with the disturbed glee I get from my silly comments being read, thank you 😂) to the point that I'm the only one left commenting while everyone else is off "enjoying summer" or whatever. WHATEVER. Anyway, thank you! 😂

This was great. I'm always in a hurry to get the song learned, and this showed me the reason to slow it down. Thanks for the video.

Really interesting thank you :-) When watching this video, it made me think of something that a Qigong martial art master once said … (Qigong is a martial art always performed very slowly). He said, if you cannot perform the movements, perfectly, and slowly, you will never be able to carry out the movements very fast and precise! An interesting comment :-) And now back to finger picking :-) on the Ukulele, my question is, do you, Matt, or does anyone reading this comment, have any thoughts or guidance on the length of the fingernails on the fingers of the finger picking hand? Much thanks,Steve, Bristol, U.K. 👍🏻😊🙏 Your thoughts would be.

Thank you for the kind words Steve! We recently did a lesson on nail care and Matt talked about shaping and length in it. You can watch the lesson here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJK0oZxon9SFfqc That lesson mostly covers the right hand. You asked about the left, and someone actually asked the same question on that video. Matt said "keep them trimmed."
