Absolutely new quilter, well, all I’ve done is watch videos, purchase products and watched lots of youtube videos on the subject. I have lots of ideas for appliqué projects and I’ve yet to TOUCH a piece of fabric, lol! That’s me! I always come back to your tutorials as you teach in a way that I learn-visually. Thank you for sharing your talent.

for a beginninger that less than a 1/4" top stitch can be a little had to manage epecially when your already trying to focus onsewing a straight line and make sure that the baking hasn' managed to find it's way to the front. what i like to do is a simple ladder hand stitch to close up that hole first. it sewn right into the fold that you have pressed and won't be seen. during Covid i didn't have a sewing machine and i had to learn how to sew by hand out of necessity. and found that i enjoyed it. and then my husband realized how long it took me to do things by hand and decided that maybe i should have a machine, lol. but i still find that some things should still be done by hand.

I really liked this tip, I have used this method many times on small projects, it goes faster than traditional binding. I used a chopstick for turning corners,. It works great and doesn’t poke through the fabric. I also used the chopstick as a guide close to the needle to prevent me from piercing my finger, again. Thanks for these videos, you always have great tips.

I've never quilted anything and it didn't occur to me that the instructions wouldn't include finishing instructions. This looks like a great way to finish it and I've done bags with all of these elements so shouldn't have any problems. Thanks for such a good tutorial. I'm off to finish my mug rug!

Sometimes to keep the cost of the pattern low, design makers will omit the directions for finishing the project - sometimes forgetting that the pattern may be purchased by someone who is just starting in their quilting journey :) Here is another quick and easy way to finish your projects too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3fNenioqq6AhKs
