Hey everyone,
In this video we walk you through how we finished our flares from Flarespace.
We broke it down into three parts. A backer, a trim ring, and some finish trim.
The final product didn't turn out too bad.
If you're interested in finding a flare for your van like ours, you can get get yourself a set at flarespace.com/ #sponsored
Here are the flares we ended up with :

Honest to goodness! You guys are totally "up to it!" Up to every design, mathematical and materials challenge needed for every job at hand! Honestly, I'm always mind blown by your talents in fitting out this van, (and your previous van also), producing amazing results! Cheers to you guys, love and hugs 'squeak- woofs' to pets... who we love as much as you. 🇭🇲❤ T. Queensland Australia. Oh and, they're called flares! Never knew.

You guys must be braking the bank doing those complex window design graphics! Working with that thin material like the quarter inch, you can cut it close and use a belt sander to your lines.

It looks great! I almost want to rip out our kitchen window and make it a 3 or 4 inch bump out after watching this. Try Clear And Clear astringent for your mustache. Is more that sweat is getting caught at the hair base and yeast gets going in the pores. It's the same thing as mask rash.

If I had known you were doing this I wood (see what I did there 🙃) suggested looking at flexible plywood for the radius corners 2 - 3 pieces (they are thin) glued and made into a sandwich and bent to shape to form a rounded corner giving more space around the flare, I’ll get my coat 😮

@@dogcatmanvan don’t know if it posted before 🙃 Home Depot have bendy ply just cut into strips glue 2-3 to laminate and hold in a jig of some kind to fix the required shape while glue dries, then trim to fit, I did put a link which may have blocked the post

These turned out beautiful! I love the shapes and I know it’s difficult because a lot of us look at our imperfections or what we could have done better etc but a teeny gap in something you two built yourselves…that’s something to be so proud of! You guys are turning a van into a home by yourselves and made incredible artistic choices and trying out new things and I think you’re both doing an amazing job. What puzzles me is how you fit the 4 of you in the bed. There’s no way Rocky is not sleeping next to (or on top of) his dad!

ahhhh I love seeing you two post one up! this is especially interesting to me, I always wondered how the F town I could do some trim work like this. looks like you guys nailed (and glued) it!!! you see tiny imperfections in the trim work, I see Masters At Work. I especially loved the intro w Julie "....and your soul".. 🤣 PS speaking of Julie... I kinda laugh to think how the channel has evolved (and for the better I may add)....maybe time to change the channel title with a little '+ Lady'?? hahaha. love you both, keep up the hard work and look forward to seeing more progress

Nice job but when you guys tackle something it takes forever. The time and the materials you wasted it's would of been a hell a lot easier to just buy the trim kit.$750. for the trim. Like a day of work for both you and $50 an hour. CHEAP!!! You need to work smarter.
@dogcatmanvan
@dogcatmanvan Жыл бұрын
It does take a while, but the reason we chose to take the DIY route is mainly for content creation. We've seen several videos of folks buying the kit and installing it. We hadn't seen any videos of people building it themselves. We already aren't smart spending all this time making videos for a few thousand views haha. I'm not sure the trim kit would redeem that intelligence.
