Always a joy to watch you paint Alain! Stunning as always! Artist, Susan Jenkins, through a little shout out how much she loved following your work. So, I had to pop over and see what you were up to. So painterly and peaceful. Great tips on finishing your painting. Thanks for sharing! - Messy Mendy 👍🖌🙏🏻🤗

The painting is so vibrant! You started with a fantastic photo! By the time you finished, the painting made the photo look kind of dull lol... which speaks to your incredible talent! The whole process is really fascinating! An explosion of color and movement. I swear I could feel the heat and hear the waves rolling in. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

G,day Alain, thanks for a wonderful intro and demo - so informative and clear to follow. I’ve done the first two parts of the course and am very eager for more. I am particularly excited about the mark making and wash. I am from South Australia and my time zone means that your Q and A,s are at my 0430 so I will not attend them live but will catch them later. Thanks for taking the effort to record them. What fun this will be. Cheers for now.

Do you have an oil pastel brand you would recommend?

What is the lightest light "creamy yellow" pastel number you used for the sun? Is it 007o titanium yellow by Schmincke or a permanent yellow lemon shade? Appreciate the demo!

Hi Alain, from Willimantic, CT. I'm coming in late to this (glad I found you), so you may have already answered this question. Do you find that it makes a difference to your color perception whether your painting is framed in black, as you have done, or framed in white, like the source photo? Thank you, Donna
@AlainPicard2 жыл бұрын
I just enjoy the distraction free approach of the black backdrop, bit I don’t know that it is essential. It is my preference because black recedes and white advances in value. Thanks Donna!
