Good tips. What about water clarity? Can they be used in stained water (

Hey that is one bait I have no confidence in because every single time I've tried them I never get bit maybe it's got something to do with me being a bank fisherman and some of the homework I've done on your other channel it's helpful. But last night I looking at some small boats something I can afford because in order to be productive with that jerkbait I really think I have to get a boat . And then just go out and use the jerkbait all day to get some confidence in it. And the swimbait is another lure. Randy I just can't buy a bite with that lure no matter when I try it and it drives me nuts because I see you guys catching bass on the jerkbait and the swimbait. And Randy I'm not on of these guys who tries it for 10 minutes and gives up . I've tried both of these lures for hours and no success. Thanks for the great tips I'm going to have to watch more of your jerkbait videos and swimbait videos ( soft swimbaits) God bless you and your family.

i would think talking about panther martins or inline spinners will be much easier bait for the beginning person to start fishing on. i got the kids started on some beetle spin variations and they catch good amount of fish. but jerkbaits are my fav.

Randy. First thanks for all the quality instruction you provided over the KZbin spam, it is much appreciated. My question is do you use straight fluorocarbon on your spinning rod to throw your jerkbait? Or do you use the braid to fluorocarbon? Thanks in advance

He only uses Flouro, never Flouro to braid. He has a few videos where he talks about it. I've switched to flouro because of Randy and have had great success!

Can you reel a jerkbait down quickly to depth or only jerk it? I'm new to jerkbaits but can see the appeal. Thanks.

Reel it down to get the depth, then you can work on the cadence.. You can throw it out crank it down then, jerk, jerk pause, jerk pause, jerk jerk jerk pause. Etc. Vary it up, same apply's to pause, if the water is below 50,you may have to pause 10-20 seconds, to give the fish time to rise to the bait... And you don't have to do super hard jerks, colder the water the lighter I jerk, bait fish don't dart all over when it's below 50 degrees, when it's above 50 -55 then you can do little bit harder jerks and shorter pauses of 1-5 seconds. There is no set rule to jerk bait fishing... Just make sure your rod has a moderate bend to it. A stiff rod will cause the hooks to pull out. Hope this helps....

Don't start with a Megaass. They're too expensive, yet very cheap.
