What's the best way to keep it from getting hung up on the rocks? Just keep jigging when it hits the bottom?
@LandsharkOutdoors8 жыл бұрын
There is no way to prevent this lol. Being knowledge in the area you are fishing will help you to avoid casting in certain areas. Also keeping the rod top with a jig slightly elevated. Lastly, when it feels like your about to get snagged don't reel slowly, pop it hard.

No either one can be used for either one. The bait caster allows you to feel the jig/spooltek more, but the spinner is certainly part of our arsenal. Bait casters don't give you anywhere near the line capacity that a big spinner will.

@landsharkfishing Any other alternative baitcasters that are a bit lower on the price ? The Revo is a beast but also costs $400 before taxes. The Diawa Lexa 300 has a great drag and good price but the gear speed ratio is high. Those musky rods are sick too 9 ft thing must cast a mile lol
@LandsharkOutdoors8 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't know. I have friends who fish the Toro beast and the Lexa and both are great. The most important thing to look for as far as a bait caster for snook, will be sufficient drag 20lbs+, line capacity and Saltwater capability. Research the lower end Revos and maybe they will meet those requirements.
@troydunn046 жыл бұрын
Jrivera check out the revo s. Its basically the same as the beast without the better drag. I like mine a lot. Daiwa lexas are very good too, more robust, but not as smooth. I have both and it would be hard to pick a winner.

Why are you giving everything away. This fishing separates the good fisherman from the bad fisherman. We all learned and it took us a while, why give everything you've ever learned away to the fishermen who I know you don't want to see fishing your bridges. Expect googans to be putting mad heat on the fish now, still not even fishing jigs or teks correctly
@LandsharkOutdoors8 жыл бұрын
I've deliberated a long time before making videos like this. Hear me out, with the age of social media now, everyone and their mother is posting pics of snook, reds, etc and nothing helps in terms of keeping a sport silent, but we all do it anyway. Posting a video in someones lake showing a retrieval technique is completely different than revealing a spot. There are so many bridges in South Florida of which all hold fish and unless someone knows the tide and how to fish that particular bridge properly, we both know how that will go. Googans will be googans, and we were all once googans. Watching a video won't replace putting in time whether on a bridge or beach, bc seeing something and experiencing it for yourself are two different things. Also there is no such thing as a secret bridge or spot, every bridge holds fish and it's not my bridge or yours, or anyone else's for that matter. Whether you watch a video or not the learning curve to learn the artificial game comes down to putting in physical time on the bridge and no amount of videos will ever replace that. The tips mentioned in my video are just guidelines and generally to promote a certain lure/jig I believe in and deserves credibility, such as the videos I filmed with Tom Lewis. Trust me I see where you are coming from, but with social media it is inevitable and I would rather be the one make the video than some YOLO who gives out incorrect information.
@inletreg48447 жыл бұрын
Tristan Ford It's all about sharing the knowledge you learn from other anglers. I mean, if there is a cure for cancer that you can make at your house, would you want to keep that information a secret, or share it and benefit everyone around you? Fishing is all about sharing the information for future generations to come. Plus this video only shows a small snippet of the years of knowledge it takes to learn this type of fishing. Guys are gonna be adequate to try these techniques but only the true fisherman will stick with it and learn the style.
