So for passive points I would go with Ability Damage. Post level 15 the fish are getting very hard to reel in with only T2 Rod and Hook. So I would prioritise Ability damage while you can.

I have heard treasure chests can straight up pull equiv level items. Heard fishers say they got cobalt ingots and stuff. The higher end fish are also used for end game cooking so slicing them could eventually net more cash. Not bad for something you can do afk.

dam fishing is worse than watching paint dry..holy hell how boring
