How to: Fish jaw mount (Snapper) tutorial including footage of 20 Pound Snapper being shot.

Spearfishing the elusive New Zealand Snapper ( Pagrus Auratus ).
The Snapper weighed in at 20.83 Lb or 9.45 Kg.
After driving 3 hours, sleeping overnight in my car then paddling up the coast at first light I explored some new territory and shot a few fish species before setting my last burley (ground bait) of the day when this donkey of a snapper came storming into the burley area before I put a great holding shot into the snappers head. My personal best NZ Snapper to date. More Below:

Seal the bone with mop and glow, it will keep a shine and keep dust out of the pours on the bone

Hey man, not that I'm aware of. They don't have the teeth etc as they just swallow most of their prey whole. Reef species seem to work best. Snapper are awesome to practice on, and you will be surprised by the chompers on even a small snapper
