The NPFL just had a tournament on Lake Hartwell and the guys discuss what the had to do to put fish in the boat and cash a check. Hey, what were you guys talking about with the TWRA not allowing boats to lock through anymore? I’ve tried looking it up and I couldn’t find anything about it. Is it just for that NPFL tournament or what’s going on with that?

All we know is the NPFL was notified yesterday they would not be allowed to utilize that ability of using any other water other than Pickwick and one of the reasons given was to not move fish from one body to another. I’m sure there’s more and details are still coming in. It’s from some law from 2001. More details to come once it gets out the news gets out.

@@FishNorthGeorgia it may be related to the aquatic nuisance species situation in Kentucky lake with Asian carp and trying to prevent it from becoming worse, as well as stopping the spread of Alabama bass in the TN river system. We have fished catfish tournaments that were held on Pickwick lake and allowed us to fish Wheeler and Wilson lakes as well and all of the fish have always ended up being released into Pickwick. Where the weigh in was. But that’s with catfish that were already native to all 3 lakes. They might be concerned with people catching any Alabama bass in one of the lakes and keeping them alive and releasing them back into any of the lakes.
