Love Rapala! I use them exclusively. Any particular scenario where one should use the rattlin rap over the rippin rap and vice versa?

Hi Joshua, the Rippin'Rap sinks much faster than the Rattlin'Rap. That means you either have to cast and retrieve it very fast, or jig it very aggressively. The Rippin'Rap works especially well when fish are lethargic like when ice fishing, or when you want to fish fast and cover lots of water fast with that loud rattlng action in open water. The Rattlin'Rap sinks much slower so it can be fished slower to get actively feeding fish to strike. It can also be jigged but has a slower drop rate. So Rattlin'Rap best when you think fish are feeding and when water is warmer, Rippin'Rap good to use when fish are in-active to get a "reaction" strike and when water temps are cold and you need to aggressively vertical jig to get a reaction from them...God bless you.
