Is there anywhere in Perth Western Australia in WA for me to purchase a black mamba rod
@tackletacticstv76876 күн бұрын
Hey @JacksonVeljacich, Hope all's well and you're finding a fish. We have recently shipped Black Mamba rods to BCF Cannington, so you could touch base with those guys. You can also order TT rods from any store that stocks TT gear. Drop us a message through the website if you have any issues tracking one down. Cheers, Justin

Cool video mate, when’s the new itx-b available?
@tackletacticstv7687 Жыл бұрын
Hey @danielreynolds8314, I have been having some fun giving the ITX CB spinning reel a run and stock is due to arrive in early February 2024. Hope you're getting stuck into a few fish. Cheers, Justin

Awesome looks like a good reel, will be searching for them in February 👍, hoping for a change in weather to find the bite again been tough lately, but keep the vids coming, very enjoyable 👍

@@danielreynolds8314 I'm with you on the weather! When it sorts itself out the fish should be on fire. I'm only a couple of sessions in on the ITX CB, but so far it has been fun to fish and is light, smooth and powerful. More vids coming soon and hopefully some hot bites for both of us. Fish on! Cheers, Justin

For the slim swimz do you just do a steady reelin and slowly jig it up and down as you go ? Trying to learn the methods
@tackletacticstv7687 Жыл бұрын
Hey @miskeen8701, A slow wind (slow roll) near the bottom will catch them, as will giving the rod tip a few shakes as you wind and pause. If it's not snaggy on the bottom you can also hop the plastic a couple of times by doing a lift / lift with the rod tip, before allowing it to sink to the bottom again. The key thing is to mix it up until you find out what works on the day. Check out our Soft Plastics 101 Series for more - tackletactics.com.au/Rigging-Guides/Soft-Plastics-101. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin

Thanks Justin, another good video. can you give your fishing location in your videos please much appreciated.

The passage is all I will say, but as in all his videos Justin gives a lot of information that really covers a lot of places. It's about picking the plastic and the way to work it and structure.

@tonydodd-oe3hc Exactly, if you don't recognise the mountains in the background, you don't know S.E Queensland waters. Cheers
@ronchave6354 Жыл бұрын
EXACTLY, I do not know the area at all. Hense the reason why I asked!
@AquaMarine1000 Жыл бұрын
@ronchave6354 A good fishing spot is rarely disclosed. Your best chance is to watch and observe. Fishing knowledge is a lifelong pursuit.
@tackletacticstv7687 Жыл бұрын
Hey @ronchave6354, I am all about technique over location as fish move with bait, water quality, weather, season, temperature, moon phases and so many other variables. You are better focussing on techniques rather than spots and when you can apply the techniques you will start to work out relevant productive areas in your region. If you focus too much on spots, you will have a lot of days without fish... spend time reading the water and looking for bait, structure and areas that resemble other areas where you have had success. Some of my best recent sessions have come from exploring new areas, and applying proven techniques. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin

what rod?

Hey @JacksonVeljacich, Hope all's well and you're finding a fish. Check out the video description for a full breakdown of the gear being used. The rods that we were putting a bend in were the TT Rods Black Mamba 7', 1-3kg and 2-4kg. Crisp actions, great feel, Fuji components and excellent value. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin

yes I agree give some idea of where you are fishing.. Otherwise that detail about fishing that area is irrelevant.
@tackletacticstv7687 Жыл бұрын
Hey @johnwalker6420, hope all's well and you're finding a fish. As per the response above, I believe that technique is more important than location, with fish moving due to so many variables. Someone with an arsenal of good techniques will catch more fish than someone with a few good spots. An understanding of why fish might be in a particular area and how to get them to bite, is something learnt through time on the water, and a good arsenal of techniques will allow you to catch fish most of the time, wherever you travel around Australia. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
