GREAT way to show how to rig one of these and fish it in the SLOP! You have inspired me to get mine out of my bag and try it. Been meaning to get out and throw one of those around! Awesome video... more people need this video in front of their eyes! haha

Love it! Tough bait to fish

It’s definitely one of those lures that can be rigged/fished in a ton of different ways, but it requires a bit of experimenting (maybe more so than most soft baits) to unlock its potential.

Oh man, I am the worst about falling into that trap. A cloudy drizzly day is sure to fill me with power fishing confidence, but that almost always results in me having a really tough day. I find that I really struggle on those days because it feels wrong to slow down and finesse them

It’s probably a good general rule to start out fishing more aggressively on overcast days, but it’s definitely not a given that the fish will be biting. The trick is determining when to abandon ship and do something different. I think after a couple hours of relative disinterest from the fish is when to pull the plug. Maybe even an hour and a half. So many variables, though.

I'm looking to get one of these lures and am wondering what type of rod I should use. I have a Medium Heavy casting rod do you think that would be to large of a rod to cast and fish a light bait like that?

Just ordered some, as they look pretty cool...The life of a lure junkie 😂 not expecting much, as 6th Sense baits haven't been very impressive too me...The Hangover swimbait is probably the worst ive ever seen, so doubt this will be impressive....

Am I the only one that uses braid with a fluorocarbon leader… when I’m not lazy and just using braid. I see all these dudes using mono or fluorocarbon filled reels

I think braid is great when you really need to pull fish from heavy cover and/or when line visibility isn’t an issue. The biggest reason I use straight fluorocarbon on both my casting and spinning reels is because I like the low stretch and that it’s hard to see underwater. With a little practice, I think a lot of anglers would be surprised at how manageable fluorocarbon is on spinning reels. I use Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon exclusively and it’s fantastic. If I can get away with not tying some overly complicated knot to join braid and fluorocarbon together, I’m going to do it. Not to mention, I’ve seen the FG knot and others fail during tournaments. I live by the philosophy of the least amount of knots the better. If I absolutely must connect mono or fluoro to braid, I’m using a far less complicated Surgeon Knot. The time it takes to tie an FG knot is not worth it to me.
