I've been using Trick worms with good results lately. I've been fishing them weightless rigged Texas style at shallow targets. I add a light weight for deeper targets, like you. A friend catches lots of fish, even deep, with finesse Trick worms on finesse shakey heads. We mostly use green pumpkin Trick worms with the tails dipped in chartreuse garlic.

I had an hour to fish last night after work. Tried swim bait then jerk shad and finally put on a Bitters trick worm in junebug chartreuse tail and three bass to beat the Skunk in the last bit of daylight. Watermelon on sunny days or gin clear water. Green pumpkin comes out when the visibility starts to fade. One question, do u ever us an offset round bend hook for these worms? I feel like I get a (slightly) better hook up ratio but snag a lil bit more in heavy cover. Just wondering.

You can absolutely use them and would get you a better hookup I do not cause I can never get the worm straight so I think it kills the action
