I remember somebody showing me about the crooked rigging 20+ years ago when i was a kid. You just reminded me of it. Whatever i remember being taught regarding it kind of all just came back to me now. This video couldn't have came at the best time since i just starting making that worm yesterday. a 6" BOT worm. Subscribed, thanks again!

I am a 70 ye old bass fisherman and I have seen lots of techniques come and go, but young man, every time you introduce a new twist or some new info, you live up to the hype. I can see why you are a successful tour angler and you have a personality to go along with it. I have learned something from every one of your videos. Best of luck with MLF!

I've been fishing floating worms for at least 25 years. I keep a rod rigged for floaters year round. I've caught more than a handful of heavyweight bass on floating worms. It's truly a deadly presentation when fished in the right place. Never put one on crooked except the times I may have enjoyed to many refreshments. Lol. May just have to give that a try. That side to side action is pretty much what a weightless sinko does naturally.

Learned years ago to rig the hook deeper into the nose of the worm so it threads o yo the line and it will bend when you twitch it and makes the worm dart side around pretty good too

Thanks for being so generous with your knowledge! Caught the bass fishing bug last year and working hard to get better at it and rely on people like you (multiple time AOY) to help me shorten the learning curve. Went out to Briery late yesterday and caught 4 with the biggest being 4lbs 6oz. Used a green pumpkin senko rigged with pointed end on the knot and a heavy kink in the worm.

Brought back memories, thanks. Back 55 years ago we wanted the worm to just float and tick the weeds. So we carried syringes with us to inject a little air in tail. We wanted to regulate the fall rate. If we carried syringes today we might get some odd looks. Thanks again

I like the techniques you mention. The way I rig floating worms is on a light wire straight shank worm hook (owner preferably), and rig the worm all the way up the shank with just the hook exposed, pretty much like a jig. Twitch it across a drop off or some structure and you’ll catch em. It’s got a snake like action.

Discovered that bend technique several years ago by accident when I rigged it different. Another trick I do is thread the worm up the line so the hook is about 2 more inches down the worm. Sounds weird but it really works good.
