I was using a 3/8oz jig head inside of the tube.

Mimicking small trout to catch big trout is money. Love to see you fishing the natural trout colours. Most don’t. Most go with white or some other high vis colour

You could put a tube on a Texas rig and bounce it slowly and drag it on the bottom. But it wouldn’t quite have the same action as how I typically catch trout with a tube. At Spinney I’m fishing a tube as fast as possible and the tube stays above the weeds.

I just was at spinny on The closer you guys spinny hasn't been stocked with any trout in over 2 years just to let you know you might catch one or two trout but they'll be really big I'm talking 8 pounders but if you're looking for numbers right now it's going to be a couple years and it is 2024

Spinney should be closed until spring. If I’m just after numbers, I’ll drive down the road to eleven mile. CPW stocks a ridiculous number of trout through the ice every winter. I wish it was legal to ice fish spinney though.

That lake is a Karen yoy rlly can’t use anything there lol. I’ve never seen so many bait regulations in one lake or reservoir lol

Artificial fly and lure only. That still gives you a ton of options. Personally I get bored dunking bait and waiting anyway.
