U have a great taste in vehicles bud. Owning a Supra and a diesel is exactly what I would do. I have a diesel but no Supra lmao

Haha thanks man. It was the other way around for me for years lol. Supra and no truck. The truck is a life saver though.

Lol yea, i remember towing it with my friends power stroke, so it does feel better in that sense. You truck do you have?

Jose supra I have a 6.0 powerstroke but gonna go to a 6.7 soon
@josesupra4 жыл бұрын
Thats what my buddy had. I actually have 3 friends that have 6.0s now though lol and another two that have 4th gen 6.7 cummins. The 2017+ 6.7 is probably my fav truck that you can buy new. Those things are bad ass.

Get some aftermarket rear upper control arms and you can drop the rear camber to -0.5 or as close to 0 depending on your ride height. I agree 305 or 315 will be better, Ideal would be 17x11.5 +51 with 315/35/17 Toyo R888R Tires for the widest and tallest sidewall tire for maximum traction. 35 sidewall will hook much better than a 30 sidewall tire on a straight line.
@josesupra3 жыл бұрын
Wheels are 18" so I couldn't get the 315 with a 35 sidewall. With it being a street car I don't mind 1.2-1.5° of camber. Dedicated or more serious drag car than yea it would be a real good idea to swap out upper controls arms.

Looks good Jose! I'll probably need to roll my one fender again (its brand new). Also, I finally drove my Supra today after two years LOL. Def have some gremlins to work out but I see the light!

Lol man sometimes I see the light and sometimes I don't 😂😂. We're getting there though.

@@josesupraI felt mostly excitement. It felt extremely fast. Then I start noticing some issues (tune issues) and it wouldn't go into first gear, so frustration was in the mix as well. Getting it all sorted out now!

Hey Jose I have a set of classics in 18x11.5 ET+51 I'm about to buy tyres for them and was thinking of going 335/35/18 just wondering would I need to take as much off on the arches as you did. I was advised from ccw that I would need to with the offset I went for but curious could I get away with rolling them in since they are 11.5. Any feedback would be highly appreciated. Thanks
@josesupra2 жыл бұрын
Mad late but no you shouldn’t have to take as much. I’d go 305/35 or 315 on the 11.5 though. I’ve honestly been considering Switching to a different tire.
@ACommenterOnYouTube4 жыл бұрын
I think your choice in the 335 on the 12 was right, 305 would have been a stretched fit. The 335 fits that 12 good and the poke is AWESOME .. All RWD muscle cars should have poke in the rear. Heck my 240sx and my Genesis Coupe both have rear poke on them. Its a very attractive look on rwd cars. Especially when the Genesis and the Supra have a "fat" ass, you got to have the tires to match.
@josesupra4 жыл бұрын
Agreed lol
@abel57633 жыл бұрын
you mentioned the rear offsets were +49 on the 18x12, right ? What about the front ? 18x10, in what offsets ?
@josesupra3 жыл бұрын
Sorry thought I posted it in the description. 18x10 +38.
@abel57633 жыл бұрын
@@josesupra thanks. I must have missed it. By the way, with the same 18x12 +49 rear wheel, would I still need to hammer the inner body if I used 305 tyres? Is it the tyres that is touching the body or the inner wheel barrel?
@josesupra3 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure. If I remember correctly, when I test fitted my wheels before mounting tires I think it was touching in the inside.
@abel57633 жыл бұрын
@@josesupra thanks man. So in your opinion, what would be a good offset that is 3mm away from the inner wheel well for a 18x12J wheel, which will not require any hammering work?
@josesupra3 жыл бұрын
You’ll have to go 11.5 if you don’t wanna do any hammering. 12 wide is gonna sit out pass the fender if you run an offset low enough to clear the inner body. 305 looks really nice on an 11.5 wheel though. I’d go that rout.
