Thank you for your guide!!! We had the opposite problem. How to deinstall it. Ill do the exact opposite what you are doing and it worked! Now we csn repair our shade with spare parts from Velux.

I would also add, use a cheap and cheerful bradawl to mark the holes and use the correct screwdriver bit for the screws. It appeared the bit used in the video was incorrect and started to round off the screw. It appeared to be a bit bigger than required. If using a drill I wouldn't go quite as deep either 5mm or so should suffice.

Drilling a pilot hole is key to making this job painless 👍

Yeh I nearly always do a pilot hole when screwing into any wood, saves it splitting and makes it easier. Glad my video helped 😎

Yes should be fine, may need a small pilot hole to start it off, just make an indentation with a screw or nail.

I have a really small Gap at the bottom. Like I cant close it completely (by 2mm). Because of that the theres coming a little bit of light through, Do you know anything i can do that fill the small gap?

I think it’s common as I’ve got 2 blinds and there is a small gap at the bottom. You could screw some rubber into the bottom or a thin piece of wood so there was no gap
