Nice video mate, did an exhaust on my T4 recently. Not a bad job assuming nothing is too hard to get apart. Loving the build series 👌

Hi, would you ever consider gun gum when fitting a new exhaust to old?

If it needed it yes, but it didn’t need it in this case

what about the rusty section from the engine?

I’ve got a 2012 T5.1 which I’ve had both mufflers removed and replaced with straight pipe. My recommendation, if your muffler needs replacing just cut it out. The sound difference is nothing

Nice, not sure there was a need to remove the hangers, could have just slid off the rubbers, then get the new exhaust in place and slide back into the rubbers. seems to have made more work that was necessary?

The rubbers had been in the exhaust for 19 years! I was never taking them off when standing on the floor, so it was easier in this case undoing the bolts and dropping it down in one

Did an exhaust change on my t6 myself on the floor. I did it the way you did yours.. Much much easier than wresting the rubbers.

Just noticed the discount ode was missing the “B”. Is this correct? Thanks.
