I can put my racebike (Giant TCR size L) in the backseat of my Corolla E12 sedan without removal of the wheels (!). Try it, it is possible.

I usually add (plastic) cardboard that I can find in the book stores as extra layers between two frames and/or between wheels & frame to prevent any scratches among them.

okay really thanks for this. ive been loading my bike in my 3series back seat (i dont remove the rear wheel) and ive scratched up my leather because I haven't been using a blanket 😩

@@Dino-qt1mc Oh roof racks scare the heck out of me, ha! I do have a trunk rack, but even that scares me, I just don't like having my bikes exposed to the elements. Especially if I need to park and go into a gas station and what not, having the bikes secured inside the vehicle I just feel so much safer about.

@@hikerbikeromar It is like 3.5 bike cause one got 20" wheels. And turned out it's possible to pack them into my small station wagon. 3 in a trunk and 1 your method in the back seat :).
