How to Fit Wiper Blades | Halfords UK

Hi, I didnt need an adapter. I also thought, from other posts and videos that I would need one. Really, if your original blade arm is the same as mine then the new one fits one very easily. (My transporter...T5, 2013. Make sure you get the right blade, if only fitting one, as the 2 on the windscreen are different lengths. I have only changed one so far. Good luck.

Frustrating that you show a 'J' clip wiper arm but not how to choose the right Halfords fitting to work with it when this is a common fitting. Not enough info here.

Unfortunately your mechanic spent half an hour on you tube and various forums to finally tell me that he couldn't fit wipers for a jaguar xj6.

1 type of blade...not much help to me. Mine, a 'J' hook, pretty standard, & am trying to find out how to fit an 'upgrade' flat blade before I buy it. Nothing, nada, zilch. Otherwise, usually great service from Halfords.

@@halfords Hi, thanks but I knew/know which to buy, had looked on the website & in the store. It was just, how to fit it I was unsure about, as the look of the connection was so different from the standard wiper to the flat replacement I wanted to fit, and as there is nothing at all in the box to say how to do so, it seems that could instil a lack of confidence and though a good service, a very unnecessary £5 cost to fit one of these. As it turned out it went on very easily; not been out in the vehicle yet. Halfords dont need to do 'how to' videos, so its good you do, but the wiper one is so limited its relevant to so few, as you can see by the responses. Thanks for your previous response.

@@kalliisborne3424 Well I was amazed how easy it was, even for me, but so easy I barely remember how. I think, just slide it over the hook and either push down or pull up to hear /feel it click into place. If this doesnt help, lee lt me know & tomorrow I'll have another look to refresh my memory.

Sorry, guys, this is a terrible video - in reference to rear wiper blade there is no showing of the detail of the parts how they come out of the packet, the presenter's hand obscures the action, a real lack of the details people need to see and know. inside the box are the blade + a small polythene bag with 3 items - what looks like some sort of pin and two plastic components - no reference made to any of these in the video at all. Much more detail needed please, Halfords :-) Also no printed instructions were provided with the item - a simple diagram should be provided and could be printed on the rear of the box - much easier than having to look up a youtube video that still does not help :-)
