Thank you so much, you truly are a blessing to us dog moms/dads….My husband and I were struggling with potty training and our black lab nipping at us and are 1yr old to the point that we almost regretted getting her and that made us feel horrible… I went to yt for any tips that would help us and out of everyone even ppl with 1mil+ subscribers your tips and your explanation and visual examples made it so easy… In one day she started sitting on command and the nipping had diminished by like 80% it’s crazy… I also followed your tip to hand feed her and I know that has a lot to do with the decrease in the nipping… Potty training is going amazing not one accident since… Thank you again so much!!!…

Your saving me lol. My dogs and myself are going to be such a happy family using your tips. I have 4 dogs. Blue Heeler, Boxer, Labradoodle and a 8month old DoubleDoodle whoooo...just became a daddy of 10 puppies. My Labradoodle and DoubleD became parents a week ago. This wasn't planned, this was a Covid lockdown, dog goes into heat time lol. I am determined to train my dogs to be just like yours. I think they will become happier and more calm. It's true, the DoubleD is a bit crazy, but I love him lol. I've been able to give away (when they are ready) 6 puppies so far to very special families and I will be sharing your FB, IG and KZbin page in their little suitcases 😊 Please continue to record, you really are helping so many of us out here 💕🇨🇦

Rachel, I'm so glad I found you. I love how you reward and praise them for what they do and are not super strict about it. I agree with your teaching style about the mutual respect and letting our furbabies be dogs. I also find this super useful because I have two dogs myself; a 7 year old Siberian Husky and a 7 month old Jack Russel Terrier. It has been challenging to show my JRT the commands that my SH knows. I also realize by watching your videos that she still has a lot to learn. Now my question is can the 'PLACE' command be used anywhere even if you don't have the mat available? Also should I have a separate mat for each dog?

Your training tips are so simple and easy. It's good to communicate with them in a fun way, that makes sense to your dog. How long have you owned shelter dogs? You share such a great message, in helping people adopt foster dogs and know how to train them to be the best pets ever. It's heartbreaking to see dogs in shelters, so it's heartwarming to see you talking about them, sharing great tips and tricks for working with them. I loved the 'place' command. There needs to be more KZbinrs like you. Thank you for your great message. I've been on KZbin for 2 and a half years, with 138 videos. My content style is kind of similar to your's, although I had been talking more to owners/potential owners of Samoyeds, before trying to launch into the larger field of dogs. That's been a slower climb, just because I had been more breed specific for so many videos. You have such an approachable way about you and you talk directly to one audience member. You've been on KZbin for 4 years and have over 300 videos. That's a lot of hard work. Bravo! Your channel is doing really well. When did you see it begin to really pick up? Channels like your's, help take the overwhelm out of being a dog owner. Thanks for sharing your message on saving all the damn dogs. All dogs deserve a great home.

Hello Rachel! I am the proud new momma to a baby mini dachshund (her name is Penny). She is a sweetie and already very attached to me. I am having issues with crate training and separation anxiety. I’ve watched several of your videos on crate training and I’m starting to implement them. Thank you! I do have a question... I’ve read different things about what to have in the crate. I was originally told to have a training pad and towel. Then I’ve read that I shouldn’t put a towel, just the training pad. Will they sleep if I don’t have a blanket or towel in the crate?
@ToriLoverly4 жыл бұрын
I use the "place" command for my dog to go inside her crate with the door left open. When we eat lunch and dinner I tell her place and she goes in her crate and she will lay down and sleep while we are eating. We only close the door if we are bringing in groceries and such as we still haven't been able to break her of trying to run outside. We solved that problem with a double gate system at the front door. But it's a pain when bring in lots of bags from the car.

Definitely going to use this video! At first I was thinking of getting a Beagle from a Breeder. I absolutely love that breed. (Keep in mind I'm a first time dog owner, I do not have a dog and haven't had one). Me and my mum are actually thinking of adopting now, we still don't know what we are going to do. We have looked at so many rescues/shelters and they nearly all need to be rehomed with experienced owners or owners with a resident dog. We are not either of these things. So what do we do? They were great Shelters, rescuing dogs from Romania and bring them over to the UK for forever loving homes. I'm stuck- can anyone help?

Very informative. I've been wanting to get a pup - haven't had a dog since I was a kid & I'm 41 now with a spacious place, good for a dog. I've heard that it helps a pup to sleep if you put a ticking clock wrapped in a towel in their bed. And a hot water bottle. True?

Hi, it's me again. Today I searched up the dangers of retractable leashes, and got rather concerned because a person I know uses a retractable leash. However, both dogs are really polite, and the leash kind of string part is actually pretty thick, and I haven't really thought that it would break. It's a harness, and both of the dogs don't chew the cord, they pull very little to none, and they are small dogs. The leash is about an inch wide and once again, pretty thick. Do you think it's still okay for the dogs and the person walking the dog? I have walked both dogs before, they're rather old, but I don't know if that really applies. Love your videos and your advice, and with your advice I have wrote a pretty great essay on why I should get a dog, and I have a lot of research on dogs thanks to you! There really should be more channels like yours.

Hi Rachel! i looove your videos. I have a 1 year old dog that has a lot of energy, doesnt listen to anyone in the house and just does what she wants. I've tried to teach her the commands down and sit and to respond to her name. But she only listens when there's treats and she doesnt even responds to her name yet. So when I watch your videos I get really motivated but then I watch my dog... and I just don't know where to start. She has also a lot of character and personality so when she is doing something wrong and you try to stop her from doing that she bites back or gets like 'mad'. I dont know what to do, I would really appreciate to get some advice because I just don't know what to do and this situation is causing a lot of fighting in our house. And I looove her but sometimes I look at my friends dog or other dogs and they are like so chill and they are not even trained, like they don't even try to teach them anything but they behave good, so maybe is like a personallity thing? or it will go away as she grows older?

Place it in your hand and place it up to their mouth that helps them get the treat from your hand without biting you. It also helps them not drop it
@paigehillfederico8194 жыл бұрын
if your getting a adult dog then dont pay attention to this but if your getting a puppy they are going to bite you no matter what because they are teething. if your getting a adult dog and they bite you just open your palm so that its flat and put the treat in your palm, its really hard for them to bite you if u do that. also, i have a puppy and she tends to bite me a lot so if she ever bites way to hard and gets really crazy i just put her in her cage for a minute or two so she can calm down and it works every time. its not really to punish her just to have her calm down. if she is biting but its not very hard i just try and replace my hand with a teething toy.

Hi Rachel, new to the channel. GREAT! I love it. Just a little favoritism towards Finn, I have his twin, Chaplin (as in Charlie). He is such a clown. He is extremely smart as have been all my Poodles. Chap is five and is fine with the training we have in place. But admittedly we took the (oh He’s doing OK) route, and I-know we need to be better, I feel as though I’ve sold him short. To Chap everything is a game. So we are going to binge watch y’all and throw a party when it all comes together. And there couldn’t be a better time, we are picking our new baby girl. Her name Poppy, a little Boston Terrier. Thanks, Robin
