Thank you so much, you truly are a blessing to us dog moms/dads….My husband and I were struggling with potty training and our black lab nipping at us and are 1yr old to the point that we almost regretted getting her and that made us feel horrible… I went to yt for any tips that would help us and out of everyone even ppl with 1mil+ subscribers your tips and your explanation and visual examples made it so easy… In one day she started sitting on command and the nipping had diminished by like 80% it’s crazy… I also followed your tip to hand feed her and I know that has a lot to do with the decrease in the nipping… Potty training is going amazing not one accident since… Thank you again so much!!!…

Rachel, I'm so glad I found you. I love how you reward and praise them for what they do and are not super strict about it. I agree with your teaching style about the mutual respect and letting our furbabies be dogs. I also find this super useful because I have two dogs myself; a 7 year old Siberian Husky and a 7 month old Jack Russel Terrier. It has been challenging to show my JRT the commands that my SH knows. I also realize by watching your videos that she still has a lot to learn. Now my question is can the 'PLACE' command be used anywhere even if you don't have the mat available? Also should I have a separate mat for each dog?

Place it in your hand and place it up to their mouth that helps them get the treat from your hand without biting you. It also helps them not drop it

if your getting a adult dog then dont pay attention to this but if your getting a puppy they are going to bite you no matter what because they are teething. if your getting a adult dog and they bite you just open your palm so that its flat and put the treat in your palm, its really hard for them to bite you if u do that. also, i have a puppy and she tends to bite me a lot so if she ever bites way to hard and gets really crazy i just put her in her cage for a minute or two so she can calm down and it works every time. its not really to punish her just to have her calm down. if she is biting but its not very hard i just try and replace my hand with a teething toy.

This wasn't planned, this was a Covid lockdown, dog goes into heat time lol. I am determined to train my dogs to be just like yours. I think they will become happier and more calm. It's true, the DoubleD is a bit crazy, but I love him lol. I've been able to give away (when they are ready) 6 puppies so far to very special families and I will be sharing your FB, IG and KZbin page in their little suitcases 😊 Please continue to record, you really are helping so many of us out here 💕🇨🇦

Hi, it's me again. Today I searched up the dangers of retractable leashes, and got rather concerned because a person I know uses a retractable leash. However, both dogs are really polite, and the leash kind of string part is actually pretty thick, and I haven't really thought that it would break. It's a harness, and both of the dogs don't chew the cord, they pull very little to none, and they are small dogs. The leash is about an inch wide and once again, pretty thick. Do you think it's still okay for the dogs and the person walking the dog? I have walked both dogs before, they're rather old, but I don't know if that really applies. Love your videos and your advice, and with your advice I have wrote a pretty great essay on why I should get a dog, and I have a lot of research on dogs thanks to you! There really should be more channels like yours.

hey a similar thing happened to me. i told my friend id get a dog when i was 11 and she told lots of people it was for sure. my parents ended up postponing it for a few years and all my friends completely forgot. at the end of the day your friend isn’t going to stop speaking to you forever because something (which was to do with your life not hers) didn’t happen dont worry. if convincing your parents doesn’t work just explain to her the outcome was out of control. she shouldnt get mad at you because there is no way you couldve known🤍

I’ve watched several of your videos on crate training and I’m starting to implement them. Thank you! I do have a question... I’ve read different things about what to have in the crate. I was originally told to have a training pad and towel. Then I’ve read that I shouldn’t put a towel, just the training pad. Will they sleep if I don’t have a blanket or towel in the crate?

I use the "place" command for my dog to go inside her crate with the door left open. When we eat lunch and dinner I tell her place and she goes in her crate and she will lay down and sleep while we are eating. We only close the door if we are bringing in groceries and such as we still haven't been able to break her of trying to run outside. We solved that problem with a double gate system at the front door. But it's a pain when bring in lots of bags from the car.

Dottie the hound dog would happily demonstrate all this naughty behavior if you need a model! Haha.

If you don’t mind me asking, why did you move out of your old house, this apartment is lovely but surely your old house was better for you old lifestyle if you have dogs and a cat? 🐕

Thanks for this! Been dealing with puppy biting, and have been trying to teach the place command and these are great tips! Appreciate it all!

It’s been over 20 years since I’ve had a dog and I haven’t had a puppy since I was a kid 😩. I got my puppy 16 days ago. So far we are doing pretty good with the help of your videos. Thank you so much! I love your videos

I know this is off topic but we feed my dog kibble, I’m wondering how to convince my parents to switch to raw food?

this is just a thing - i started teaching my dog cosmo (he's a lab and my best friend) the touch command and it's done so much. we had a training class and the person told us to teach it to him but we already did that! it's worked wonders and is be far the best recall command i've seen

Yes. My foster dog friends and my full-time dog friend learned touch right away and it is the best! Awesome that easy to teach commands are often VERY helpful☀️

This is so helpful! Thank you for breaking it down so clearly, and for telling me realistically how long this is gonna take before it’s a solid “place”. That helps me not to be so hard on myself during the training process. Thanks again! Looking forward to your other videos :)
