In this video we show you how to troubleshoot/fix the glass hatch lock assembly/regulator or actuator. This is an OEM Genuine Honda part that fails quite often. youll need to fix because "glass stays open" or "glass won't lock" "honda remote wont open glass" problem on this Honda pilot EX 2012.
Although this video covers a 2012, It might also cover steps for fixing a:
pilot 2010 LX, pilot 2011 L-X, pilot 2012 EX-L, pilot 2013 Touring, pilot 2014 E-X, pilot 2015 rear hatch. My honda pilot is having a problem with rear door glass hatch assembly (5th door)(tailgate) (lift gate).
The Honda Pilot glass lock assembly and rear trim removal instruction is performed on a pilot with the VTEC 3.5L V6 engine, we disassemble & install a new glass hatch lock actuator part.

Just something to know that I found the key because I don’t really work on cars this is really the first thing to have ever done, make sure the white locking mechanism is in the closed position, which is all the way to the right when putting the metal rod back into it. I think at least lol I think that’s why I finally got it to work.

Do you have the part number for the hatch lock part? I think the gentleman mentioned the lock assembly and then then the actuator which you provided the part number.

I just started having issues with my 2011 Pilot. Their rear hatch window will unlock on its own.[indicator on dash will light up] Seems to happen more frequently, after it rains. The button appears to work as it should. If I have my alarm set, when it opens, the alarm will go off. Sometimes the lock keeps trying to open, I can hear it continuously. Is this something I can fix? Or Dealer? Thx

My Pilot has a switch to close the Door be careful when you remove this cup handle to close the door if you have one

Para el vidrio trasero cundo no sierre solo tienes que checar el suich por continuidad cundo ases pres manual mente sierra tu vidrio trasero para descartar que sea la Serra dura. Si manual mente sierra por seguro es tu actuedor se rompen muy fácil del mecanismo y pierden el contacto .
