This filter was my problem no forward or reverse movement but I had lift and tilt. My filter was about five times as bad as yours in the video. I had to order mine in from the local Bobcat dealer took them about a week to get it and I paid for shipping so it cost me about $26… thank you so much for your video !

Dude! Thanks for posting this. I was told by a reputable mechanic my bobcat was done. I ordered the filter, replaced it, and she moves again. Mine is a 632, but the port block and filter are very similar.

Man this was a life saver! Thank you for doing this video, I talked with tons of bobcat mechanics who only wanted to talk about the pump being dead. Luckily I only went through the trouble of replacing seals in one drive motor before I saw this video. Thanks again!

I’ve never owned a skid steer or worked on one aside from greasing one before using it. I am a mechanic though an atv mechanic but I am thinking about buying a dead 743 or 745 something like that, definitely 74 something. Anyways on atv’s I use clymer manuals, on vehicles I use haynes manuals, is there a repair manual for these that is not written for professional tractor mechanics?

Hi! Great video. My Bobcat 853H starts but nothing moves. Arms won't move either. Someone was moving dirt off a pile with it and then it just stopped moving, still starts and runs but nothing moves at all. Any and all ideas appreciated. Think the fuses are all ok and it has hydraulic fluid. Very much a beginner here so thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Hmmm so no hydraulics at all, any sounds id check the belt between the engine and pump could be bad or slipping

Did you get it figured out? I have an 843 and there’s a universal joint between the engine and hydraulic pump could have possibly broke

my 742 doesn't have that square manifold box on top of the pump, the pump below looks similar though. Is there another place an internal filter would be?

Hey I did what you said on the video but it's still not working you know what else could I check at first it wouldn't turn, after I changed the filter now it doesn't move at all, and it makes a noise like something lose in the transmission or something

I've got a 731 that moves intermittently. I've tried to find the plunger relief valve you spoke about. Apparently it's a discontinued part. Any idea what to do from here ? Open to suggestions

I tried to remove this filter and the threaded end ripped out of the filter attempting to do it the way you have… 2 questions - 1. Obviously it’s not ok to put it back together and run like this… 2. How do I get it out as I will order a new one!!! It won’t move with anything.

Hey I have a 732 model and want to see if this is an issue or not. The machine moves but has been pretty abused over it's life so I want to see what this filter holds. How can I prevent losing all my fluid when checking this? Cap the valve body and hose when removed? Thanks

I have a bobcat that’s filling up the chain box in the bottom with hydraulic fluid checked both drive motors and it’s not bypassing by them think it could be the hydraulic pump seal have any ideas

Motor carrier seal on chaincase side is bad. To find it is a really big job, but it's the only thing that'll fill the chain case.
