The reason it works on Linux and not on windows, it's because Linux is more forgiven than windows when it comes to signatures

I heard in some instances you need to disable CSM when booting with integrated graphics to flash a bricked GPU or you get bluescreen.

@@minerondemand Yeah on forums I have read that after a bad flash if they still had the GPU inside the pcie socket they would get a bluescreen when they booted into Windows with their integrated graphics preventing them from flashing.

@@minerondemand I never ran into this issue fortunately and flashed many GPUs in the past but feel a little scared flashing my 4090 since it was very expensive and because my model doesn't have a bios switch like many 4090 cards out there.

Those clips should have small plastic teeth to get between the legs and hook under the chip to keep it connected. I wonder if anyone makes one like that.

Hey miner on demand, I bricked my rx 480 and I tried using anti flash methods via program I. Windows to error fl01 or it said discrete gpu not found and I don’t get no video out fans are spinning gpu light is on but no image just running using Intel graphics. I then tried doing anti flash via usb in command prompt same thing it said gpu not found or something similar. Lastly I tried the paper clip method where you short the two pins in the 8 pin on the gpu while it was turning on. I saw some sparks and same probelm fans spinning no image. Will this work for me ? The spi method ?

Hey, try RaveOs. They also have bios upload and is more stable make sure you're not mining when using bios functions

Any should work as long you have original bios. As I showed in video will always show an error because SPI is outdated, but still flashes bios.

You need to flash firmware into GPU. Don't think there's software for Linux. But you can run hiveos from USB.

Hi. I have been minning Etherum for some time. Tempted by the Yt video, I decided to upload a custom bios to the GPU RX 5600XT. Old, stock file I saved to disk. I probably broke something because after the restart the computer does not get up, i.e. the fans are spinning but the mouse and keyboard do not react, the image is also missing. 1. How to flash the GPU now to the stock bios that I have on the disk 2. Do I have any integrated GPU at all? I mean, will the computer run without a GPU? Ryzen 5 3600, B450 Pro Max Msi - i have a lot of doubts xD Thanks for the help in advance.

Unfortunately you don't have integrated graphics. Your best solution is using Hiveos. If you have access to another computer, it's the best option

Hi, make sure to use amdvbflash 3,04+ with administrator privileges Always use your own original bios. Check if your card is dual bios, you can simply switch.

@@mohamedis4830 P is power bios , Q is for quiet, but if you already flash on both bios than I suggest the hiveos option. On Q it's normal for fans to stop if card is not hot.

It doesn't destroy them, it locks them. You can easly recover them using command line partitions options. Also it's better running from SSD.

change the Chrome browser flag "Choose ANGLE graphics backend" from default to OpenGL, or D3D9 Seems to be a DirectX problem that Nvidia cannot be bothered to fix. Type chrome://flags in URL and find angle. Hope.it helps

Hopefully you didn't burn the bios chip. If you still have original bios this method should work. Besides, the tool is very cheap.

Ok it’s been a while I left the gpu sit for a while and now I notice there’s so white light signal on the gpu like it some was before. Does this mean I’ve burned the chip and if so can I soldier on a new one or is it broken ?
